Out of the Past by: Sean Michael
                                                          reviewed by: Claudia

Ten years after a terrible car accident left carpenter Andy Johnson dead, Steven Billings has yet to move on. Though he’s put aside his art to run his family's foundation—just like his parents always wanted—Steven has never been able to put Andy and the love they shared behind him.

Except Andy’s not dead. And after a long, agonizing recovery—alone—Andy has come to hate Steven, believing Steven abandoned him when things got tough. When a chance encounter at a bar throws them back together again, it’s like the dead have come back to life and the past has come back to haunt them both.

Steven and Andy were in love… for them, life was perfect… Until it wasn’t anymore… until an accident took Andy from Steven’s life. Steven had to deal with his lover’s death, he had to cope, he had to go on… What he didn’t know, was that Andy didn’t died in the accident…

Andy was told that Steven didn’t want him anymore, that the accident was his fault and he had to deal with his recovery by himself, so basically, he believed Steven had abandoned him to his own devices.

But Fate works in mysterious ways and 10 years after the accident, they meet again in a bar.  Steven feels himself attracted to the “stranger” he just met, and Andy believes that Steven really never loved him, because after all the time they lived together, Steven didn’t recognize him.

Even hurting to see these two crossing some rough paths to get to know each other again and to recover the lost time, this was an engaging and sweet love story.

I loved to see them connecting again and re-learning each other after all their time separated. Great book, don’t miss it.

the 5 one penny rating :)
