HEY THERE FRIENDS, I AM STARTING ON MY BOOK BY BOOK REVIEWS OF THE BEATEN TRACK PUBLISHING 'SUMMER BIGGER THAN OTHERS' ANTHOLOGY! I LOVE THE NAME, AND I LOVE THE BOOK! I AM GOING BOOK BY BOOK IN ORDER, SO FIRST IS ALIGNING NORTH, BY K.C. FAELAN! I CAN'T WAIT TO SHARE THIS ONE WITH YOU, I HAVE MY REVIEW AND LINKS FOR YOU TODAY, LET'S GET STARTED:
I LOVE THIS QUOTE FOR THIS BOOK, AND IT IS SO TRUE!! HERE IS MY REVIEW:
Aligning North ( Summer Bigger Than Other Anthology) by: K.C. Faelan
reviewed by: Becky
Blake Manning spends his summers in his favorite national park, Yosemite. He runs an outdoor adventure company with three friends. This year he and his BFF/business partner, Ali, will serve as guides for a hike over the Grand Traverse Trail. Blake will find it's not nature or the wildlife that are most hazardous, but traversing the uncharted waters of a potential relationship with one of the hikers, Zac North, who doesn't appear all that happy about being the object of Blake's attention.
Stormy weather and stormier tempers keep all the hikers on their toes as Yosemite tests them, bringing some closer together...and breaking others apart.
What a great way to start off this brilliant anthology! I love the chemistry between Zac and Blake from the start, though Zac wouldn't have admitted it. Blake takes a shining to Zac right away, but something tells him to tread softly.
Zac is just coming out of a relationship that was less than stellar, the last thing he needs is to feel things for his guide, right? While Zac and Blake are navigating each other and weighing the potential for the future, another couple on the trip is having problems (mainly because one of them is a class A no refunds Douche, jus sayin ;p), will these two be able to fix their relationship, should they even try?
There is so much going on in the book you never get bored, but you also never get confused about what is going on, that is how good this author is! You will love to see what happens with these two, it makes for really good (and ok hot) reading!
This anthology started off in the perfect way! I recommend the whole anthology, but you can buy this book separately. Thanks K.C., for a wonderful start to a stellar anthology!

Distracted by his daydreaming, Blake walked straight into
Zachary’s backpack. “Whoa, sorry,” he said grabbing onto Zachary
as he lost balance. “Is something wrong?”
“No.” Zachary shook his head. “I wanted to hear the forest.”
Light raindrops pattered on their baseball caps, and a gentle
breeze brushed past them, shaking larger droplets loose from the
needled canopy above. Mountain Chickadees hopped and flitted from branch to branch calling out to each other.
Blake motioned for Zachary to follow him behind some low,
drooping pine boughs. Once screened, Blake raised the back of his
hand to his lips and blew. A screeching raspberry broke the quiet.
Zachary jerked his head in Blake’s direction, his mouth dropping
open. Blake brought a finger to his lips then blew on the back of his
hand again. In seconds, a small group of little gray birds with black
heads and a white stripe over their eyes peered down at them from
overhead, chirping excitedly as they maneuvered to get a closer
glimpse. Their curiosity soon satisfied, the chickadees resumed their
search for food and disappeared into the forest.
“Hey, that was cool.”
Blake beamed. “One of my many talents as a guide.”
“What were they?”
“Short-tailed Mountain Chickadees. They’re very curious, and
any unusual noise gets a few of them to gather for a closer look.”
“I’ll have to remember that trick.”
OK HOW STINKIN CUTE WAS THAT LITTLE EXCERPT: I TOLD YOU THE RATING WOULD MAKE SENSE! :) THANKS FOR JOINING ME FOR THIS REVIEW, I WILL HAVE THE NEXT STORY IN THE ANTHOLOGY LATER TODAY! SEE YOU THEN!
