Seventeen year old, Joey wakes every morning dreading what the day ahead may have in store for him. High School sucks and so does the jerk and his pack of bullies who live to torture him. When Joey feels there is no hope left and no chance at having peace, there’s only one choice left. He’s sure the people he cares about would be better off without him anyway. Things happen for a reason, and when Luc steps in, Joey’s faced with two decisions. What will Joey’s choice be?

This will most likely be the most personal, and most important review I will ever write, Piper Kay has given us a book that everyone needs to read and take to heart. It doesn't matter if you are directly affected by suicide, you more than likely know someone, or are someone who is at the end of their tether and needs hope. This book offers that, and a chance for young people to see that there will always be people left behind to suffer, and my prayer is that, through Joey, kids can learn that life is hard, but it won't always be, and we can always take steps to make it right! I am a child left behind, my father killed himself 2 years ago, so I know how painful it is to be here when your loved one isn't. This story is a short one, but so powerful and will surely speak to you if you let it, please let it! Thank you Piper, for giving us a book that matters, and will always matter!
