I was so excited for this book, not only because I knew it was gonna be amazing, I mean let's face it, all of Alexa's books are, but because I wanted to know more about Mike!
Mike is the character that you read about in passing and you wanted to know what makes him tick. I will admit I so wanted him to be gay or bi, so this story was special for me, and I know many others.
We get a glimpse into Mike's life as a dad, a brother, and a best friend, all of which he gives his all to, but we sense that something is missing from his life, and we get a sense of what, or who it is. You will fall in love with Mike and his need to go overboard on any Holiday for his kids, it is so endearing!
Yoshi is Mike's best friend, and he has a boyfriend that treats him like an afterthought. Will Yoshi see that what he wants is right under his nose and could be his for the taking?
When you throw in the mix Mike's adorable kids, his gremlin (dog :P), and his lovable but oh so meddlesome family, we get a story we won't soon forget!
