You can build a team, but you have to find your home.

Rupert Smythe is fond of many things. Callum Morrison isn’t one of them.

Rupert is a quiet, thoughtful business man and, sadly, a total wimp. Maybe not the ideal candidate to run a professional hockey team, but he signed on to do it anyway. As his life has reminded him on an almost daily basis since, this isn’t the most brilliant idea he’s ever had. And that was before Callum showed up.

Being in the spotlight is just part of being a professional athlete, but Callum needs a break. He arrives in Moncton unannounced, determined to help grow the team he just bought, and under the assumption he’d be welcome. Possibly he should have tried to make a better first impression.

Callum figures he can push through the rest of the summer, never expecting two kids, a host of friends, and his growing feelings for Rupert to derail everything he has ever believed about what he wanted, and what he could have.

I love a good hockey story, and if it involves a love story, even better! This book ticked all the boxes I have for what a great book should be and then some!! You identify with each character in some way, and you just want to see them come out on the other side happy, that is what a good author does, pulls you into the story and makes you want to stay!

Rupert is the last person you would expect to run a Professional Hockey Team, being macho and Rupert don't exactly live in the same area code, but I love him, and I love him even more as we peel back the layers to the beautiful tortured soul beneath.

Callum has gotten good at hiding who he really is, as a hockey player he thought he had to, when he buys into the Ice Cats, he doesn't realize their manager will change his life, and attitude forever!

Though these two get off to a rocky start, we begin to see the attraction and pull these men have to each other. Can Callum learn to be himself and not care what people think, or will it cost him the family he didn't even know he wanted with his whole heart?

This book is about more than these two men, it is about bravery, and facing your fears to help and shelter those you love! You will love all these characters, two lovely young men in particular, and you will want to see this couple persevere! Though the journey will be rough, if they can hold onto love, they just might make it!

You will love this story friends, grab yours today! Thanks Samantha, for a story so good I can add you to my short list of Wonderful Hockey Romance Authors!

GRAB THIS ONE FRIENDS, OR A LEAST PUT IT ON YOUR TBR, YOU WILL LOVE IT FOR SURE!! HERE IS A SHORT EXCERPT:

Callum was willing to admit he could have made a better first impression with Rupert. Probably.
He was perfectly aware that at some point in the past few years, he’d become a grumpy bastard. It wasn’t on purpose, it was just—well, life. Fortunately, he didn’t have that many people in his life, so he only got to inflict his own special brand of warmth and joy on a select few, most of whom were members of his family and wouldn’t put up with that shit for more than ten seconds before putting him in his place.
He kind of liked that Rupert had done it within minutes of meeting him.
They stared each other down across Rupert’s desk. The cool, businesslike image Rupert had projected over Skype was lost to the high color on his even higher cheekbones and the clench of his fists.
Callum could recall perfectly the first time he’d seen Rupert. His computer screen had blinked once, then there was this man—blue eyes bright even in low-res, crisp English accent, shirt and tie at what had been ten o’clock at night in Nova Scotia.
Callum had allowed himself to stare, knowing the webcam would obscure who he’d studied, while Rupert had run through the deal to purchase shares of the Ice Cats from Reese Lamont. Back then, Rupert had been Lamont’s business manager, a title Callum normally associated with someone a lot more staid and boring than Rupert. But as Rupert had spouted out numbers and projections and enough legalese to put anyone off their supper, Callum had been embarrassingly enthralled. When the negotiations began and Rupert had consistently, flawlessly, arrived at every calculation within the blink of an eye and without the aid of any machine, Callum had been downright grateful the webcam only showed him from the chest up.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU GUYS TO READ THIS ONE, THANKS FOR JOINING ME FOR MY REVIEW OF HOME & AWAY, SEE YOU NEXT TIME FRIENDS!!
