AMAZING RIGHT?? I LOVE THIS COVER! NOW FOR THE BLURB!

“When you boys fall in love, fall in love with his smile—because his smile will never age or change—and his eyes because in his eyes, you will always see the truth.” That advice launches two young men on the journey to adulthood.
Told in 139 “vignettes,” each dedicated to a single event, this is the story of four young men who meet in college, and follows them for more than two decades as they navigate the landscape of modern gay life.
Often playful and imaginative, but firmly grounded in the reality of gay men living in a perplexing, often hostile world, In His Eyes takes us on a journey with these men as they mature and fall in love, and struggle to maintain relationships among petty disappointments and broken dreams, while navigating the rough terrain of acceptance both internal and external.

As they break apart and come together, wound and heal, we are left to ask ourselves: does love ever really die, or is it just reborn in another time and place?
I KNOW, I KNOW, YOU GOTTA KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS BOOK! WELL YOU GUYS ARE IN LUCK, LOOK BELOW!

30. Tuesday’s Child

Skye had been watching the redhead since he’d entered the cafeteria and gotten in line. Short and muscular, he was stur
dily built. There was a hint of baby fat in the slight puffiness of his face and the thickness at his waist, and a vestigial innocence lingered about his eyes and mouth. There was something sexy about him. Masculinity wafted off him like perfume; its heady scent caught Skye’s balls in the vice grip of desire.
When he finally got to Skye’s station, Skye smiled at him brightly. The redhead scowled in return.
“C’mon, smile,” Skye said, “or I won’t give you any mashed potatoes.”
The redhead’s face tightened. “Nothing to smile about.”
“You were born on a Wednesday, weren’t you?”
“Excuse me?” he spluttered, unnerved by the non sequitur.
“Wednesday’s child is full of woe.”
Stung, he shot back, “And you? I suppose you were born on the Sabbath day being all bonny and blithe.”
“And gay?” Skye chirped, cocking his head to one side. “Alas, no. I was born on a Tuesday. Tuesday’s child is full of grace.”
The redhead grunted.
“I’m Skye, by the way,” Skye offered as the redhead slid his tray away.
“Reid,” he replied grudgingly, wanting only to get away.
“OK, Reid. I hope your day gets better.”
Reid turned around, astonished.
“OK,” Skye continued, waving, “y’all come back and see us again, y’hear?”
Now, Reid laughed and, shaking his head, walked away.

31. Brussels Sprouts
Reid stood in Skye’s line. This time, he looked more cheerful, and took his time, greeting Skye by name and asking about each dish on display. Reid made a show of indecision.
“How about the Brussels sprouts?” Skye suggested.
Reid made a face. “I hate vegetables.”
“Me, too,” Skye confessed gleefully. “But these have a balsamic glaze and bacon. I love bacon. I would sell my mother into slavery for bacon.”
Reid laughed. “You’re a funny guy.”
“I’m much more amusing without a hair net,” Skye offered.
“I bet.”
“Give me your hand,” Skye said, pulling a pen from behind his ear. Reid gave him his palm. Skye wrote his phone number on it. Then he pulled a dime out of his pocket and laid it on top of his number. “Call me. Anytime.”
Reid closed his palm.
“Give me your other hand.” This time, Skye wrote the name of his dorm and his room number on Reid’s palm. “Or,” he said, “you can just come up and see me.”
Reid blushed and nodded, then, noticing the impatient line forming behind him, said, “I’d like the Brussels sprouts, please.”
Skye
Perhaps I was lonely, as if having found and lost a friend I was worse off than never having had one, and missing Micah terribly. Perhaps because I was finally ready for a boyfriend; perhaps because I’d dreamed of him for so long, I recognized him as soon as he walked in the door. Whatever the reason, on seeing Reid, I became someone else, acting more boldly than I ever had.
