After his mom dies, Aiden Price returns to Texas to deal with the aftermath. Amidst disapproving family and painful memories, Aiden finds solace in love letters he discovers in his mom’s attic. Needing a change when his sexual orientation is unexpectedly revealed and his dad rejects him, Aiden sets out on a journey to Montana to find the mysterious author of the letters. There he meets Cody Bannar, who volunteers to be his guide.
Cody had a rough start in life but after being adopted into a huge, loving family, he lives out and proud, unafraid of what others think about his sexuality.
Aiden and Cody hit it off and Aiden is welcomed into Cody’s family with open arms. As they continue on their quest, they begin to fall in love, but Aiden isn’t ready to commit to Cody, or to embrace who he is.
Not until after the truth behind the love letters is revealed does Aiden realize his mom would have wanted him to follow his heart. And home is where the heart is—firmly in Cody’s hands.

Aiden Price is so devastated after the death of his mother he doesn't even know where to begin on getting her home, well now his home, in order. His father is distant and his sister is indifferent to his pain. He needs someone or something to make his life better, to make him better.
While going through some older things in the attic he finds a series of love letters to a long dead great uncle, he wonders what his life would be like to have that type of undying love. When his father catches him in a precarious position with his ex, he flees his hometown to search for the writer of the letters and for himself. He never thought he would meet Cody Bannar, but the man is so bright and bubbly he's hard not to want to be around. Cody agrees to help him on his adventure and with his own self discovery.
Cody has the family Aiden always wanted, big, loud, loving and whole heartedly accepting. He starts to feel at home with Cody and all the other Bannar's, when they find the author of the letters will their grand adventure be over or will Cody have found the man who can love him despite all his quirks and has Aiden finally found the home for his heart?
I loved this story, it's beyond beautiful. Love and acceptance are what make this book so beautiful, the realness of it all makes your heart happy. Highly recommend and hope there is a second book of Cody and Aiden!
the 5 chewed pencils rating :)
