It’s Christmas Eve at Nana Dombruso’s house, and a wild party is in full swing. Gangsters, strippers and Nana’s ‘gay homosexuals’ are certainly bringing the holiday cheer. But all I can think about is what will happen when I see Constantino Dombruso again.
Connie and I have a very long, very complicated history. The last time I saw him, he’d tracked me down because someone had hired him to carry out a hit on my brother Luca and me. He didn’t go through with it, but the tension between us is through the roof.
His life has been on a troubling trajectory over the last decade. But the fact is, Connie got under my skin a long time ago, and despite everything, the attraction between us has always been electric.
When we see each other tonight at the party, there could be fireworks or gunfire. It could go either way.
***This holiday short story features characters from Alexa Land’s best-selling Firsts and Forever series. It’s told from Andreo’s perspective, who was introduced in the most recent book in the series, All I Believe. But it can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone for those unfamiliar with the series.
I was really glad we got a story about Andreo and Constantino (Connie) because they were very interesting to say the least in Nico's book! This short story is in Andreo's POV and we get the history of the two starting from the beginning and boy is it a ride!
Andreo has felt a connection to Connie from their first very hot meeting, and to say the ways they keep meeting are interesting is an understatement! Andreo would love more with Connie, but Connie doesn't do forever, heck he barely does "repeats", in fact only with Andreo.
Andreo knows there is more to Connie than meets the eye, he may be a hitman but he does have a heart, though he would have everyone believe otherwise. Andreo is determined to break down the walls Connie is hiding behind, and Nana's party may just be the place to do it.
Are Connie's wounds too deep, can he accept love much less give it? This is a book you will love, and you will be thrilled with Nana's antics for sure! Don't miss Hitman's Holiday, it ticks all the boxes that make Alexa Land's books great! Thanks Alexa, for a short story that hits the spot in a great big way!
