Freelance engineer Sol Brooks is in hot demand. He’s landed a couple of big contracts and is all set for a business trip back to the other side of the pond. The last thing he needs is an unexpected visitor to complicate his departure.
Especially when that visitor puts his relationship with husband Adam on rocky ground.
Determined to fulfil his contractual obligations, Sol goes ahead with the trip. It’s a great opportunity and a chance to catch up with old friends. And he’s going to check in regularly.
What could possibly go wrong?
There is gonna be an overflow of love in this review for sure, this is one of my fave authors, series, and characters, so I am gonna gush about it a TAD!
I love catching up with Sol and Adam and the gang, and the fact that this storyline runs concurrent with book 2, Taking Him On, is amazing, I love an author who is talented enough to line the stories up just right and make everything fit!
We start the story with an unexpected, (and a tad unwelcome) guest from Sol's past who shows up and doesn't exactly give Adam the warm and fuzzy's! Sol is supposed to be going out of town on a business trip and decides to go ahead with the trip.
There is much upheaval at home, with Matty, Noah and family issues, but as always Sol and Adam manage to get through it, and a confrontation causes Sol to realize how important family is, and how far he has come from the self centered man he used to be!
I don't so spoilers, but I will say you guys have got to read this book! It is the perfect compliment to this series! Thanks Deb, for more of the same brilliance that I love you for!
