Whiskers of a Chance by: Tempeste O'Riley
                                                           reviewed by: Becky

Jason Grant runs his own IT business from home, owns his own home, and has the best friend he could imagine. What he doesn’t have, or believe he will ever have, is love. When Jason catches a glimpse of his new neighbor on moving day, his libido ignites and his fascination in piqued. He even manages to concoct an excuse to go over and meet the man who makes him hope and want for more than he has in years.

Keith Skyler is a shifter in a world where his kind is known to only a few, but they don’t often mix and they never mate. Keith has been hoping for a mate since before he can remember, but gay lynx don’t have true mates. As far as he knows, they don’t have mates at all. However, while moving his little family across Seattle—and away from their tribe—his reality tips and spins more than he thought possible.

When these two men meet over a dish of five-cheese broccoli-noodle casserole, sparks fly. Who knew a welcome to the neighborhood gift could give both of them their chance at love?

When Keith decided to take his sister and nephew out of his father/alpha’s clutches, his only thought was to give his nephew an opportunity to grow up far from the bigotry preached by the alpha of their tribe.
What he couldn’t predict, was the gorgeous neighbor he could see spying on them during their moving…
Keith is a very mature and responsible shifter. He had to be, because he had obligations to fulfill into the tribe. But as soon as he met sweet and shy Jason, all bets are off!
Jason is an IT nerd… he’s cute, shy, and has the record of having a bad taste in boyfriends. Well, maybe he’s lucky this time? That’s what makes him do the unthinkable and take the first step into meeting mister gorgeous, aka his new neighbor - under the excuse of offering him a welcome casserole dish.
Sparks fly from the first time their eyes met…
Mix into the story a sassy best friend and other paranormals and you’ll have this great book!

NOW HOW ABOUT AN EXCERPT? YOU ARE GONNA READ THIS ONE FOR SURE!!

Keith’s body pressed against his back. Without thinking, he leaned back into the warmth and strength now surrounding him. He’d caught a whiff of the man’s earthy scent before, but now it seemed as though it poured off him, seeping into every nerve and thought Jason had.
“Why?” Jason breathed, unsure what to do next. He knew what he looked like, and at just a touch under six feet tall, with somewhat dirty blond hair cut in a conservative, business look, and lackluster hazel eyes, he couldn’t believe a man with Keith’s rugged, model-worthy looks could really want him.
“I think it was the serious look on your face as you watched us unload.” He felt a shrug against his back. “Or maybe the activity you got up to later was what caught my eye. But either way, I was hoping you’d come over soon.”
Keith traced his ear with the tip of his tongue, sending shivers through Jason’s suddenly superheated body. “A-act-tivity?” Jason asked. He hadn’t thought anyone could see him.
Keith pressed against him tight, letting Jason feel how hard he was—and how big. Damn! “Oh yeah. I dreamed about you, about taking you in this very kitchen.”
This couldn’t be happening. Keith wanted him too? “And what did you p-picture us doing?”
“I’d rather show you,” Keith whispered into his ear before sucking the lobe into his hot, wet mouth and biting gently.
Jason nearly came just from that little action. “Oh God.” He whimpered, pushing back and rubbing his butt against Keith’s rigid cock. “You—I— Oh, please,” he choked out. He never did things like this, but right then, all he could think about was how perfect Keith would feel deep inside him, filling him, taking him right there on the counter.
Keith spun him around to face him so fast Jason got dizzy. He looked up, confused, before Keith took his mouth in a rough, demanding kiss that stole his breath and what was left of his thoughts. His world condensed down to the sweet bite of teeth and the wet slide of Keith’s searching tongue as he mapped and ate at Jason’s mouth. He was vaguely aware of moans and pleading whimpers, but he couldn’t focus on anything but the man currently devouring his very soul.
Keith’s fingers dug into his hip, hard enough he knew he’d have bruises later—a thought that brought more heat to his passion and joy to his battered heart. He snaked his other hand up to Jason’s head, his fingers threading through Jason’s short hair, and tugged enough to drive his want and need higher. Keith used his grip on Jason’s hair to tilt his head to the side and back, eliciting more breathy sounds from Jason. Keith kissed down his neck, nipping as he went. He rubbed his cheek against Jason’s and demanded roughly, “Tell me I can have you. Right here. Right now.”
Before he could make his mouth work, Keith bit him, sinking his teeth into the flesh where his neck and shoulder met. Instead of saying yes, as he’d intended, Jason keened high and loud, the sound echoing through the kitchen. Keith swiped his tongue over the now-tender skin before kissing his way back up his neck. “I need to hear you say it. And as much as I love the sounds you’re making, you have to answer me. Now.”
The deep, rumbling words edged him closer to oblivion. God, but he loved a man who knew what he wanted during sex. “Y-yes,” he panted and rocked his trapped dick against Keith’s. “Please, yes.”
The possibility for any more words was cut off when Keith plunged his tongue back inside Jason’s mouth, grinding their cocks together as he thrust in a way Jason hoped Keith would soon be doing a bit lower.

AFTERGLOW RELEASE DAY REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, I AM SO EXCITED TO BRING YOU THE RELEASE DAY REVIEW OF AFTERGLOW; UPENDING TAD, A JOURNEY OF EROTIC DISCOVERY 6; BY: KORA KNIGHT, AND MY GIRL KYLEE HELPED ME OUT BY REVIEWING THIS ONE FOR ME, AND BOY IS THIS A HOT BOOK! I HAVE KY'S REVIEW AND LINKS FOR THIS ONE, SO LET'S GET STARTED:

I TOTALLY LOVE THE KYLEE DID THIS RATING, IT SO FITS THE WAY THESE TWO FEEL! HERE IS HER REVIEW:

Afterglow ( Upending Tad; A Journey Of Erotic Discovery 6)
by: Kora Knight    reviewed by: Kylee

With his secret out and uncertainty behind him, Tad finds himself in this new, incredible place. A place where, finally, he can just be himself. Which means no more over-analyzing every feeling Scott stirs inside him. Because now Tad has the confidence to act on them instead. To be with the guy that he’s head over heels for in every imaginable way. In public. In private. Without any reservations. An internal freedom he never knew existed until Scott came and unlocked the door. Experience their story’s epilogue installment, filled with playfulness and promise, laughter and love. And, yup, some of that hot stuff, too.

This is book six in the Upending Tad series by Kora Knight and I have to say she has outdone herself with this one. From the beginning to end it is sexy, fun and smokin' hot!

This series has always been sizzling and has grown more steamy, bolder and imaginative as it has progressed. However, this one is probably the spiciest story I have read so far.

Every page bursts with passion and lustiness and should really come with some sort of warning of hot flushes and tingling lady bits as they are guaranteed.

Scott and Tad's story is unique, highly engaging and completely beautiful. The crazy chemistry between the two is explosive.
This book has it all, great writing, fun and sexy characters, witty banter and most of all Hot! Hot! Hot! Loving!!!

I devoured this hot little read and am looking forward to seeing how Kora's other characters will fit into the series!

the 5 pool cue rating :)
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH KYLEE ON EVERYTHING, THIS BOOK IS SMOKIN!!! HERE ARE THE LINKS FOR THIS ONE:

NOT A LINE OF BULL REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, HERE IS MY GIRL CLAUDIA'S REVIEW OF NOT A LINE OF BULL, A LOVING NIP 6; BY CHARLIE RICHARDS! I HAVE HER REVIEW AND LINKS FOR THIS ONE, SO LET'S GET STARTED:

THIS QUOTE IS PERFECT FOR THIS BOOK! HERE IS CLAUDIA'S REVIEW:

Not A Line Of Bull (A Loving Nip 6) by: Charlie Richards
                                                              reviewed by: Claudia

Cassium Jones is closing in on his fourth century mark and over the years has held many roles, from farmer to soldier to vampire enforcer. Now, he’s ready to settle down in moderate relaxation…if working a cattle ranch can be considered relaxing. He loves the wide open spaces, the fresh clean air, and even tending the animals. Handling the maintenance and care for the Angus cows in the northern pastures offers plenty of solitude, and he should have been left pretty much alone. Instead, Cassium stumbles upon an injured Angus bull amongst the livestock, and realizes the bull is not only a shifter, but his beloved, his soul mate. Cassium learns Garth has been driven from his herd for disobeying a controlling alpha, leaving behind two young children. While Cassium is happy to help reunite the bull shifter with his kids, is he ready to take on the role of parent when all he wanted was to retire?

I love this series sooo much!!!
After living for almost 400 years, Cassium gives no thought to finding his “beloved”… after all, he lives in a remote cattle ranch, totally by himself… how could he find his beloved, unless he stumbled upon him? And, that’s exactly how they meet each other!
After refusing to follow his Alpha’s orders, Garth was beaten and had to flee to save his own life. Fortunately, he finds an Angus herd and even injured, he hopes to hide between the cattle, but fate has other plans. As soon as Cassium finds the injured Angus bull he realizes he just found his beloved.  As soon as he gets to know more about his beloved, Cassium is thrilled by him, but first, he needs to figure how to help his beloved to get his kids back and to protect him from his old herd…
Garth knows kindness for the first time when he meets Cassium and he can’t believe in all the things the vampire makes him feel, because it goes against all that he ever heard from his Alpha…  like mates don’t exist, males couldn’t be couples… It’s so sweet to see Garth’s innocence and how awed he is by Cassium’s caring, acceptance, support and protection.   They are perfect for each other and so very hot together!!!

                                                     the 4 egg & cheese rating :)

ROYAL PAIN RELEASE DAY REVIEW!!!

HELLO FRIENDS, I HAVE A RELEASE DAY REVIEW FROM AM SNEAD AND ( I KNOW YOU WILL BE SHOCKED (NOT) ;P) I LOVED THE BOOK!!!!! THIS AUTHOR JUST SPEAKS TO ME AND SO MANY MORE WITH HER WRITING, SO LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT ROYAL PAIN; BOYS OF PORN 4 WITH MY REVIEW, LINKS, AND EVEN AN EXCERPT, LET'S GET STARTED:

THIS QUOTE IS WHAT I WOULD TELL SCOTTY AND ROYAL BOTH!! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Royal Pain ( Boys of Porn 4) by: AM Snead
                                                               reviewed by: Becky

To the dismay of Gideon's boys, Royal returns –sporting his same arrogant, irritating attitude as when he left a year before. Lucas, especially, is feeling no love for the guy as Royal sets his sights on Bailey. Royal's only warm reception comes from the twins, who love all the boys.

Scotty struggles to deal with his troubled state of mind and the certainty that he is no longer wanted or welcome at Gideon's home. With the help of Daniel and the boys, Gideon is holding it together –just barely –as he does his best to assure Scotty that he’s loved and wanted, and when the time comes, he will be welcomed home with open arms.

Mickey tries to put on a brave front, but is devastated by the course of action he was forced to take with Scotty. Brokenhearted by the prospect that Scotty may now hate him, he is comforted and assured by Gideon that Scotty feels no hate toward him –only fear and confusion as to why he would want to hurt Mickey. As Dr. Harmony Knox (Bailey's mother) urges Scotty to face his painful and frightening past, she begins to understand the true catalyst of Scotty's troubled mind.

I thought I was prepared for the heartbreak that would be Scotty's story, yeah, not even close! This book, like all the others, is so well written you feel like you step inside the story and experience it firsthand!

Everyone that knows me know I love Scotty, he just wants to be able to feel like he is good enough to be loved, but there is someone evil who wants to use him and make him feel as if he doesn't deserve anything at all!

While Scotty is gone hopefully getting the help he needs, Gideon is troubled and heartbroken at the turn of events, can anything help him keep it together for his other boys? That help he so needs may have been there all alone, he just needs to reach out and grab it!

Royal returns and is his usual obnoxious self, and when he flirts with Bailey, he gets on Lucas's bad side with a quickness, but there just may be another reason Royal came back, and under all that cool and calm toughness, is a heart that beats for another.

These boys will make your heart ache, and the way this book ends will have you screaming into your pillow ( or maybe that was just me ;P), but I know Audrey won't leave us hanging for long! Get ready friends, book 5 is gonna be a doozy!!!! Thanks Audrey, for giving us yet another piece of your heart with this wonderful story!

HOW ABOUT WE CHECK OUT AN EXCERPT OF THIS ONE!!

He could feel the slight ripple in the glass caused by the embedded mesh wire as he traced his fingertips down the window and stared outside. The sun was shining and warm rays heated his face, yet his skin prickled from an inner chill that refused to abate. His view was partially obscured by the added layer of mesh wire outside the window. Every time he tried to look beyond it, through it –his eyes shifted and focused on the wire instead, rendering everything on the other side obsolete, nearly invisible. And maybe it was now. Nothing existed for him outside this room anymore.
Locked away and forgotten. Who would want to remember him anyway? Even he didn’t want to remember himself. Didn’t want to be himself. No one believed him. They all thought he was crazy.
What if they were right? Why would Mickey lie? He never lied.
What if I really am crazy? Was it really me who hurt Mickey? Why would I do that?
The sleeping drugs had worn off just as dawn had begun to turn the sky gray. He hadn’t fallen back to sleep after opening his eyes, though he longed for the escape. It would be his only escape now. Or not. He feared what awaited him in his dreams. What if “the man” really did live in his head? He could get into his dreams…couldn’t he?
Fear chilled him to the core and he hugged himself. Is that what he meant when he said I wasn’t strong enough to make him leave? All the man’s words came back to him, taunting him…haunting him. He squeezed his eyes shut and trembled. I don’t want to be alone with him anymore. I don’t want to be alone…at all.
Tears formed and spilled over as he ducked his head, his body shaking.
When he heard the door unlock and open, he was afraid to turn around, terrified it would be…him.
“Good morning, Scotty.” Dr. Knox spoke soft, calm, and closed the door behind her. “How are you feeling today?”
Scotty raised his head and stared at the window, and the mesh wire –evidence that he now lived in a cage. He heard Dr. Knox set something on the bureau.
“I brought you some breakfast.”
“I’m not hungry,” Scotty whispered.
The woman approached him. “You should try to eat, Scotty,” she said gently. “Emotional strain actually wears us down more quickly than physical exertion.”
“I don’t care.”
Dr. Knox moved around to his side, her eyes resting on his wet face. “I know you’re scared, Scotty,” she murmured. “And that you feel alone. But you’re not alone. You’ll see. Gideon didn’t abandon you, he will be back in to see you later today like he said he would.”
Swallowing thickly, Scotty ducked his head again. “Will he…take me home?”
“Not today.” Sympathy softened her voice. “We need to talk through some things first. We’ll just take it one step at a time. And you’ll see…in time things will get better.”
Scotty trembled and finally met her gaze with watery eyes. “How much time?”
“I don’t know,” Dr. Knox admitted. “But if you will work with me, Scotty, and let me help you, then it will be sooner rather than later.”
Looking away, Scotty hugged himself tighter. “No one else believes what I say,” he whispered. “Why should you?”
“No one thinks you’re a liar, Scotty. Or that you’re crazy. They’re just concerned about you and want you to be okay, so you can come home.”
He shook his head. “No,” he said quietly, his voice thick with tears and hurt. “No one will care if I don’t ever come back.”

OH MY SCOTTY IS GONNA RIP MY HEART OUT!!! DON'T MISS THIS ONE FRIENDS, IT IS JUST AS EPIC AS EVERY OTHER BOOK IN THIS SERIES!!! THANKS FOR JOINING ME FOR MY RELEASE DAY REVIEW OF ROYAL PAIN, SEE YOU NEXT TIME <3 nbsp="">

I LOVE A GOOD HISTORICAL, AND THIS LOOKS LIKE A GOOD ONE! HOW ABOUT AN EXCERPT?

Everyone knew everyone’s business in the small hilly honeycomb town of Siena. The house the Masello had once occupied for short periods during the year belonged to a rich merchant now. The eldest Masello had died in a hunting accident in the countryside, and his father, it was said, died of grief a year later. This event had brought the new conte home to the villa with the leaky roof, the broken-backed barn, and massive debt. Yet perhaps Conte Masello was not as bad off as they said, for he had paid Amadeo’s debt to Guelfetto.
Likely Amadeo was wrong about that, too, as the conte had traded for his freedom with silver dishes and spoons. Amadeo swallowed hard but could not dislodge the lump in his throat, a combination of gratitude and resentment. Life in a Florentine bathhouse and sexual slavery to the traditional enemies of Siena was no life at all. He shuddered. He had meant it about throwing himself on the tender mercy of the river.
What kind of master was the new Conte Masello? He glanced at the man beside him and found warm hazel eyes gazing down at him. His new master’s hair was as brown as chestnuts and touched with gray strands. Whatever he’d been doing while the family fortunes dwindled—soldiering, sailing, perhaps even tramping about in the New World—had made him a man with a face weathered by the sun and muscles that strained the seams of his fine clothes. He was broad-shouldered and a forearm’s length taller than Amadeo, who felt like a willow tree beside such an oak.
“We have another stop to make,” the conte whispered. “Finish your prayers.”
The hard press of the conte’s velvet-clad shoulder and the intimacy of his warm breath on Amadeo’s neck sent a small shock through him, and his cock stirred restlessly in response.
Oh no, you don’t. You are not to ruin this chance for me either. Pardon me, dear Saint Catherine. I pledge to you I will stay away from the gaming tables and this man’s bed.

GRAB IT UP FRIENDS, THIS IS GONNA BE A GOOD ONE! HERE IS AN AUTHOR Q&A FOR YOU:

Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Heloise West author of If I Were Fire.
Hi Heloise, thank you for agreeing to this interview.

  1. Tell us something no one else knows about your characters.

Well, my editor wanted to see more of these two because there is so much more to them, so I’m hoping we’re going to find out what those things are in the future.

Bec- Oh that is great news, I really can't wait to read this one!!

  1. Have you ever written something that made you cry?

The scene with Amadeo and his former lover made me very sad—I don’t cry easily, anyway. I had a character in another book believe his lover had died in a horrible way, and he cried his eyes out. I felt terrible and mooned around for a couple of days.

Bec- I love this when an author feels that strongly about what they write,               I will go ahead and say, I will more than likely cry at that part!!

  1. Have you ever co-written with someone before?

No, but I’ve been invited to and that’s a project for another time, one I’m looking forward to.

Bec- I am sure there are pros and cons to working with someone else, but I bet it will be fun!!

  1. What is the most difficult part of writing for you?

I’m slow and that annoys me, so I start getting in my own way. Or maybe it’s me getting in my own way that slows me down. Either way, I’m not as fast a writer as I want to be. I don’t mean 10,000 or even 5,000 a day, just a better daily output than the last six months.

Bec- I would probably get in my own way too, I am a huge over thinker!

  1. Name your four most important food groups.

I struggle with low carb, likely because I’m of Italian descent and my soul craves pasta, bread, and cheese constantly. It’s not good for me, though, to eat like that. Vegetables are my best friend right now, fresh fruit, popsicles and popcorn.

Bec- I struggle with that too, but unlike you I don't really have the will power to resist seasoned roasted potatoes! Thanks Heloise, for answering these questions, this was fun!!

MAN THAT WAS FUN!! I LOVE AUTHOR Q&A'S, HOW ABOUT WE LEARN A BIT MORE ABOUT THIS AUTHOR WITH A BIO AND SOME SOCIAL LINKS:
