THIS QUOTE IS PERFECT FOR RORY! HERE IS MY REVIEW:
Retrograde (Flight HA1710 #1) by: Rj Scott
reviewed by: Becky
Co-Pilot Lachlan Donaghue wakes up in
hospital, a survivor of the crash of Flight HA1710, with memory loss
and the suspicion that he could be at fault for the tragic accident.
When everything becomes too much he goes home to hide, back to the
small Scottish town he grew up in and to his family home.
Rory Kendrick watches the news, sees every hour of the disaster unfold but never thinks that Lachlan was in the middle of it all. Or that his friend will be forced to come back home to hide and to heal. What Lachlan needs is a friend, not a lover, but sometimes the lines are just too blurred to make any sense.

First of all let me say, I love this cover and the whole concept of this series, different stories about people on the same flight that crashed, brilliant! This is the perfect book 1 also, the story of the co-pilot!
Lachlan is rescued from the wreckage of his crashed plane with no memory of how the accident happened, was it his or his pilot's fault? How could this have happened? All Lachlan can think about is that he needs Rory, the source of his strength and the love of his life, and also the man he walked away from months before.
Rory sees the news of the crash and no one will tell him any news about Lachlan, even though the man ripped a hole in his heart, Rory can't just sit around and do nothing, so he goes to the hospital where Lachlan is a patient.
There are so many questions to be answered in this book, and they get answered beautifully! Was Lachlan at fault? What will happen when he goes home with Rory to hide from the press that want answers and recover?
You will love this book friends, the connection between these two men is evident, even as they struggle with if they should act on it again or not! Thank you Rj, for a perfect book 1 in a series that promises to be wonderful!

Lachlan wished
Rory were awake, but he didn’t have the heart to wake him. If he’d
slept through nurse visits then he must be exhausted. How long had he
been outside Lachlan’s room? They hadn’t talked much last night.
Sleep pulled Lachlan away at the weirdest of moments—a combination
of his headache and the meds they had given him for pain. There was
little more than awkward conversation with no substance in between
sleep and even more questions from the Air Accident Investigation
Board and that bastard Winterson, who seemed intent on pinning
everything on him and Andrew. Perish
the thought that the airline was at fault at all.
At least Abigail was doing her part and doing it well.
Rory hadn’t
talked much either. He’d just said, “Are you okay?”
That was all. Lachlan wasn’t
surprised Rory had little to say to him. Rory was normally the one
that did all the talking, but he’d been so quiet. Their breakup had
been dramatic and final. Not only that, but Rory would have seen the
news, known that the pilots were currently still on the guilty pile.
“You flyboys
are so arrogant, you think you can control everything in your life,”
Rory had shouted at him. One of the last times they’d talked, New
Year’s Eve eighteen months ago.
And Rory had been
right. Lachlan was arrogant, feeling so far above what a small-town
man like Rory could give him when he had the world at his feet.
Arrogant… stupid.
But they hadn’t
even touched on what had happened between them. There was no
shouting, no recriminations. No more chances for Rory to look at him
with those patient green eyes and say he would always wait for him.
All Lachlan knew
was that Rory was here, and knowing that, he felt secure. Rory had
the physical strength that came from years of farm work. No one was
getting past him. And people had tried. Lachlan had heard more
shouting last night, and it had been Rory who stood silently and
steadily in front of the door. A journalist who had decided that he
could sell a picture of the pilot didn’t get into the room. And
now? Rory slept, and he looked peaceful if still tired, with lines of
exhaustion bracketing his eyes.
“I’ve been
here since Tuesday,” Rory had said. “I saw the news, and even
when they didn’t release your name at first, I just knew you needed
someone.”
How could Rory
say something so perfect? Why had he come? Why didn’t Rory hate
him?
