HEY THERE FRIENDS, I AM JUST FULL OF RELEASE DAY REVIEWS TODAY, AND HERE IS ANOTHER ONE FOR YOU! FRAGMENTED, BOOK 2 IN THE SHADOW MOUNTAIN SERIES IS AWESOME!! I HAVE MY REVIEW, LINKS, AND EVEN AN EXCERPT FOR YA, SO LET'S GET STARTED:
HOLY CRAP YES!! THIS IS THE PERFECT QUOTE FOR THIS BOOK! HERE IS MY REVIEW:
Fragmented (Shadow Mountain #2) by Indra Vaughn
reviewed by: Becky
The capture of the Tattoo Murderer has demanded a heavy price. Doctor Tobias Darwin is dead, Lieutenant Hart is back in Riverside licking his substantial wounds, and he needs to gather his courage and tell Isaac he made a mistake. Isaac will forgive him—he knows that—but he can't promise Isaac an easy life. Being a cop comes with its own risks, after all.
When they finally reach the same wavelength, their idyllic reprieve is cut tragically short. Hart doesn't know yet that Isaac is terminally ill, that he will take off to find the Phoenix to heal him as a last resort. This time, it will be Hart who pays the price.
In the meantime, a new killer roams the streets of Riverside. He kidnaps, tortures, and kills gay men in horrific ways, and he has the newly healed Isaac in his sights. Hart’s time is running out on every level.
I love this series so much, and I was so happy to finally get to read book 2! Whew these two lovely guys took me on an emotional roller coaster for sure! I love Indra's style of writing, just when you think things are going one way, pffft, forget about it, they go in a totally different direction!
Issac and Hart belong together, plain and simple truth, but there are so many obstacles in the way for them will it ever happen? Hart doesn't want Issac in any danger, and with Hart's line of work it is bound to happen, can he keep Issac at a distance for his own good?
Issac wants Hart, but there are so many secrets between them, when they finally do work it out will they be able to be together, or will someone or something keep them apart forever?
I love this couple, and I love this continuation of their story, it is a perfect followup. Read this one friends, it will answer all your questions perfectly and then some! Thanks Indra, for a book two that lived up to expectations and more!

GRAB THIS BOOK! HERE IS AN EXCERPT:
I
thought you were hungry.” He
dragged a menu closer to have something to do, and waved the
bartender over.
Isaac
ordered some finger food and glanced around the bar. He looked so
composed and at ease it made Hart ache. Isaac was growing up,
branching away, and as time went on, Hart would have more and more
trouble reading him.
“You
still play the violin?” he
asked out of nowhere.
Isaac
gave him a lazy smile. “Why,
Chief Inspector, are you going to ask me if I’ll
show you my instrument later?”
Hart
opened his mouth to protest, but what came out was, “Well,
I don’t
know. That depends if you still know how to use it.”
Isaac
nearly spat out the smug mouthful of beer he’d
taken, and Hart grinned. Those damn butterflies seemed to be
multiplying.
They
talked all evening, Isaac halfheartedly slapping at Hart’s
hands when he stole pita chips and hummus off Isaac’s
plate. In the end they walked out when the restaurant closed, and
Hart was grateful once again for living downtown so he didn’t
have to drive anywhere. He did walk Isaac to his car, though.
“You
okay to drive?” he
asked when Isaac unlocked the door.
“I
only had one beer, Officer, I swear.”
Isaac
leaned against his car, legs crossed in front of him as if he had no
plans to leave yet. “I
had a good time.”
Hart
kicked at the ground and stuffed his hands in his pockets. “Me
too.”
“I
could come home with you,” Isaac
said in a rush. “It
doesn’t
have to be… it
can just….”
He
laughed uneasily and looked at the dark sky.
“I…
I
wouldn’t
want it to be like that,” Hart
admitted, taking a small step closer. “I
can’t
do casual with you, Isaac.”
“Have
you changed your mind?” Isaac
reached out and hooked his pinkie finger in Hart’s
pocket, barely half an inch of their skin brushing where he touched
the back of Hart’s
hand. He could feel it all over. He was never going to get over
Isaac. He knew that now.
“My
mind never changed,” Hart
whispered, and Isaac parted his legs, drawing him in with just the
hint of a pull at the pocket of Hart’s
jeans. “That’s
the problem. I can’t
seem to get over you.”
YEP, THIS STORY IS THAT GOOD! CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO READ IT! THANKS FOR JOINING ME FOR MY REVIEW! SEE YOU SOON!
