When fifteen-year-old Devin Hughes created his phantom lover to help him keep his sexual identity a secret, he never imagined that Brice would materialize in the flesh ten years later. With the help of his newest client, Englishman Matthew Lyons, CEO of Lyons Security, Devin is able to forget Brice once and for all. Sparks fly between Dev and Matt, and they speed full-throttle into a relationship. During a month-long separation, Devin struggles with uncertainty and reverts to his “hurt them before they hurt you” attitude, forcing him to get a grip and make things right or lose Matt altogether.

Holy Crap is the first thing I will say! This story is so inventive, and the telling of it is so compelling that you find yourself desperate to know what happens, but not wanting the story to end! I love it when a book does that to you, that is the mark of a truly good author!
Devin catches his loser boyfriend cheating so he throws him out, and right as he does Brice appears, as he usually does when Devin is alone, leaving Devin to wonder if he has finally really cracked! This time is different, Brice appears in the flesh and the encounters that follow would melt a candle without a flame if I'm honest, whew so hot!
Devin convinces himself he imagined these encounters and goes on to meet Matt, who is everything he ever wanted in a man ( and these encounters are hot too, trust me!), can these two make it work, or will Devin's problems in past relationships come back to haunt him and make him doubt Matt's love for him? What will happen when Brice realizes that Devin has found true love? Well I can tell you 'hell hath no fury' haha ok that was bad, but trust me, it ain't pretty!
I love this book because it is inventive and so well written it sucks you into the world of the lovely Devin, and his quest to be loved by someone who loves him too! I can't wait for you to read this book friends, it is a great one indeed! Thanks Harper, for giving us a book that is so good we will read it over and over!

Just as Matthew slid his cock into Dev’s ass, an ear-splitting screech came from the direction of the mirror. Suddenly, Brice stormed from the reflective glass, screaming in anger. “You fucking piece of shit! No, no, no, no! You do not get to have this type of happy ever after! You belong to me! Do you hear me! You! Are! Mine!” As Brice shouted, he grabbed Matt’s ankle and yanked, tossing his partner across the room like a rag doll. Devin’s phantom lover became more enraged when Matthew managed to tuck into a roll, avoiding a full body smash into the wall. “Matthew…boo! Are you hurt? Oh my God! What the fuck are you doing, Brice?” Scrambling from the bed, Dev, sweating profusely, ran to his sweetheart’s side and turned to look at the incensed creature. “Why are you here? How are you here? You need to go back where you came from! You don’t belong here anymore! And I definitely don’t want you here attacking my soon-to-be-husband. Now get the fuck out!” Spittle flew from Brice’s mouth as he grabbed Devin in a chokehold and shook him. “I wasted years on you, you sniveling asshole. Do you have any fucking idea of the penalty I paid to take care of that lame fucktard Trace for you? Maybe you need to feel what it’s like to be flayed alive, see how well you can handle it!” With the hammering of his heartbeat loud in his ears, Dev struggled to free himself. He watched in horror as Matthew lunged at Brice from behind, slamming his fists into the side of the angry menace’s head, allowing him to break free of the stranglehold. His surprise attack delivered, Matt retreated to what Devin hoped was a safe distance, given the small room they were in. Voice garbled, he yelled, “Matt, get out of here! Just run, babe! Run as fast as you can!” “You are both going to pay for this. I promise I’ll keep your shrunken bodies next to each other on my collection shelf. The punishment my Master would inflict on me for coming here will be well worth the price for both your fucking souls
