I NEVER MISS THE CHANCE TO REVIEW AN ANDREW GREY BOOK, AND ON RELEASE DAY IT'S EVEN MORE SPECIAL! I LOVE THIS AUTHOR, AND THIS BOOK REAFFIRMS THE REASON WHY! LET'S TAKE A LOOK:
THIS QUOTE IS PERFECT FOR BRIGHTON AND TANNER: HERE IS MY REVIEW:
Eastern Cowboy by: Andrew Grey
reviewed by: Becky
Brighton McKenzie inherited one of the last pieces of farmland in suburban Baltimore. It has been in his family since Maryland was a colony, though it has lain fallow for years. Selling it for development would be easy, but Brighton wants to honor his grandfather's wishes and work it again. Unfortunately, an accident left him relying on a cane, so he’ll need help. Tanner Houghton used to work on a ranch in Montana until a vengeful ex got him fired because of his sexuality. He comes to Maryland at the invitation of his cousin and is thrilled to have a chance to get back to the kind of work he loves.
Brighton is instantly drawn to the intensely handsome and huge Tanner—he’s everything Brighton likes in a man, though he holds back because Tanner is an employee, and because he can’t understand why a man as virile as Tanner would be interested in him. But that isn’t the worst of their problems. They have to face the machinations of Brighton's aunt, Tanner’s ex suddenly wanting him back, and the need to find a way to make the farm financially viable before they lose Brighton’s family legacy.
I love it when one of my favorite authors reinforces why I love their work so much! Andrew Grey outdid himself with this one, all of the elements of this book come together beautifully to make a story you won't soon forget!
Brighton is a guy who since an accident, has felt less than confident in himself due to his limited ability to get around because of a leg injury. When Brighton's grandfather dies and leaves him a farm, which happens to be prime acreage, this sets off a family feud with Brighton and his sister on one side, and his Aunt, Uncle, and cousins on the other. Brighton needs to figure a way to work the farm if he is going to keep it!
Enter Tanner, a quiet, gentle man who has done farm work for a living. Tanner starts working at the farm, and the sparks soon fly, but Tanner has a painful reason why he didn't keep his last job, will his past come back to haunt him and ruin the budding romance he has with Brighton?
Grab this book and you will be as enthralled as I was as this beautiful story unfolds, and these two men figure out just what they need to make them happy! Thank you Andrew, for never letting us down when it comes to quality storytelling!
