Shy Mat finally gets a chance to break free from his parents and strike out on his own. But joining the local diet club, Weight Fighters, and hopping on the scales takes everything he has; does he have enough left in him to stick to his diet and act on his feelings for gorgeous Johnny who runs the group?
Flirty Johnny has staying power as far as diets are concerned, and all he wants is to win the Valentine’s Challenge. But meeting Mat changes everything. Can Johnny find the staying power to battle his own demons and get what he realises he really wants - to win Mat's heart?
Telling you all the wonderful things about this story will take pages, which is amazing because it is a short! Mat has never been told he is worth anything by those that were supposed to love and nurture him and it has left him faithless in himself, the fact that he is a wonderful guy despite his upbringing is amazing! He enrolls in a weight loss class and is finally making friends, and he meets Johnny, a man that makes him want what he thought he would never be able to have, a man to call his own! This is a beautiful story about overcoming self doubt and making your life what you know it should be! Thanks Claire and Al, for a short story with a great big lovely heart!
