I will have to admit, I wasn't sure I would like this book when I started it, and I didn't like it, I freaking loved it! I loved every raw, from the soul emotion, and every single second of this wonderful read. The characters are complex and so real you want them to jump off the page. One of the best things about this book is that it makes you feel a wide range of emotions, you are not in love with all the characters all of the time, but you feel for them, and there are elements of every main character that make you unable to hate, or write them off entirely. This is what a good author does, brings you into the story, and won't let you leave until you are emotionally wrung dry! I should mention that this was Bey's first book! Oh yeah, this guy is here to stay! This is a HOT, soulful Pirate story with enough kick to get you interested, and more than enough substance to keep you that way! This is book 1 in a trilogy, so I can't wait to review book 2, and really can't wait to get my hands on book 3! Thank you Bey, for a book that captured my interest, and for characters like Jon, that captured my heart. *5 Stars*
