STRANGE ADDICTION BLOG TOUR NOV 10-21

Brock Holloway has it all -- money, friends, a bitchin' car and a promising football career. At least, that's what people see. Inside, though, Brock is fighting for something he knows he can never have: Unconditional love. As the child of Aphrodite, he is worshipped, admired, wanted - but never loved.

Zack Duran is a wolverine shifter -- and not a nice guy. Zack's shifter side is always in control, often making him heartless and unfeeling. When Zack is assigned to guard Brock Holloway, his tactless wolverine tendencies become even more prevalent and Zack has to fight his shifter personality AND his genuine feelings for the beautiful football player.

A near tragedy shakes him to his core, and Zack can no longer fight the feelings he has for Brock. But giving in to his emotions may come at too high a price. A startling secret charges Brock with the nearly impossible task of taming Zack's beast. Is he up to the challenge? Can Zack give him what he needs? And with danger working overtime, can they finally be together as they were intended?

(Reviewed by Mike)

Five shooting stars all the way baby!  This lady packs the wit, humor, and love into these stories so well.  If you haven't read the series so far, this is book four of the "Olympians" series.  They are an offshoot, but still very tied in, story line in her "Assassin/Shifter series (book twenty-five in timeline)

It's not a huge secret that me and Bec are fans of this series.  We coincidentally both read "By the light of the moon" first.  Dakota and Sam (heavy sigh), and the other Queets reservation members, stole our hearts.  It's shortly thereafter I started automatically buying up any book from this author.

I know what some of you would say, "Thats not always a good idea Mike".  Let me tell you, I've yet to be disappointed so far by any book this author has put out.  Am I bias?  Hardly!  I can say with honesty that, if she didn't write her characters so well and stay true to her story, I would have stopped investing ten books back.

If your looking for a great series to "sink your teeth into like a vicious rogue!" Look no further.  This series has all manor of paranormals, military, soldier of fortune types.  The villains are real dicks, and get their asses handed to them.  The emotional conflicts are just deep enough to make your chest hurt at times, but not send you into the depression of year.  Finally, the love scenes are beautiful.  This lady really makes you fall for the guys in the story.  Her love scenes are just that.  No raunchy, porno romps here.  Not over the top, but definitely a little steamy.

Now before I get to the interview portion of this pageant, I want to give you my take on this book.
By far, I was looking forward to this story of the from the "Olympians" the most.  Can you imagine having the ability to make anyone fall for you?  Then can you also imagine the head trip that comes with wondering if anyone really loves you, or is it just your power?  That's our dear, sweet, and lost boy Brock.  We've met him in the story so far, and I'm not at all surprised at his previous actions now that we get to know him better.  Some would describe Brock before this story as "a total unrepentant slut".  But, as is oft times the case with these situations, there is a reason behind the bad behavior.  He really just craves true affection and love.  Sadly you can't easily find it in those situations.

The counterpoint in this story is Zack.  By far my favorite of the "non-wolf shifters" so far.  He's a sexy, quirky, jaded and downright rude smartass most of the time.  But with his past, it's not hard to imagine how he got there.  The very first thing he says to Brock the first time he see's him, "You smell like Jizz".  He literally has no filter haha.  Now imagine trying to pair these two wounded birds up.

But she did, and she did it beautifully.  I won't give more spoilers away here, though there may be some in the interview.  But I will say, well worth the time and money to invest in this series.

 Lots of love- Mike

We've taken then opportunity to speak with these two beautiful characters, and ask them some questions for all of us!  We hope you enjoy.  Part one was done with Brock alone; Part two with Zack alone; Finally part three we brought them together to see how they would answer with the other present.  So much fun!  Enjoy.

Q:  Brock can you tell us about your first crush, or the first time you really fell in love with someone?

Brock:  I think I was 12 or so. It was a guy on the little league football team. He was so beautiful and smart. Of course, the first time I fell in love was with Zack.

Q:  We know its history, but can you tell us briefly about your fling with Nik?

Brock: Nikolai Markov is a force of nature. I couldn’t have said no to him if I tried. (I can now, but then? Hell no) He’s a hell of a kisser!

Q:  If you could trade your divine power with one of the other Olympians, which would you pick and why?

Brock: Oooh! *rubs hands together* I think Elijah’s powers. I would love to set stuff on fire and have a phoenix pop out of me. That is just too awesome!

Q:  What was the happiest moment you can recall in your life before you met Zack, and what  is the most memorable moment since you’ve met him?

Brock: The happiest would be the day I met Jordy and the guys. I come right out and tell people I’m gay so as soon as I met them, I blurted it out. They didn’t even blink and hugged me. Best. Day. Ever. Since I’ve met Zack? I think when he bought me my sock monkey. He’s so…serious all the time. I can’t even imagine what he looked like buying that for me. He’s so sweet.

Q:  What about Zack really draws you to him the most?

Brock: He really does have a sense of humor. I know not too many people see it but he does. As much as he bitches, whines and moans about feelings, he’s really good at showing me how he feels.

Q:  What kind of music do you listen to?  Tell us what you listen to when jamming out.  What you listen to when you are feeling blue and want to get out of your head for a bit.

Brock: Everything but country. I love a mix of R&B and alternate rock. I usually listen to sappy love songs when I want out of my head. Don’t repeat that, though.

Q:  Are there any behaviors or actions Zack makes that irk you?

Brock: You got a couple weeks? He blurts things out at the worst possible moments. I swear he needs to hang out more with the Vamps.

Q:  If you had only one word that describes Zack the most, what would it be?

Brock: Just one? *laughs* Everything. As in my everything.

QUESTIONS FOR ZACK ALONE:

Q:  Okay Zack, tell us what was going through your head when you first saw Brock.

Zack: I didn’t know they made men that beautiful.

Q:  We know you have a dark past Zack.  But what is your fondest memory as a child?

Zack: Watching Saturday cartoons with my mom.

Q:  If you could shift into a third animal form, what would you choose and why?

Zack: A werewolf. That way I’d be like the rest of the guys. (well, most of them)

Q:  If you could plan the perfect date for Brock, what when and where would you go?

Zack: On a cruise, for his birthday to Hawaii. He loves the beach.

Q:  Does Brock have any habits that drive you nuts?

Zack: Did you really just ask me that? He leaves a spoonful of milk in the gallon.

Q:  If you had the chance for one do over since you met Brock, what would you change?

Zack: My behavior at the club. I can’t believe my devil spat that shit out.

Q:  What is the sexiest thing about Brock to you?

Zack: How caring he is.

Q:  What scares you the most?

Zack: Losing Brock

QUESTIONS FOR ZACK AND BROCK TOGETHER:

Q:  Can you tell us how you felt the very first time you laid eyes on one another?

Brock: *snorts*
Zack: Whatever. I thought he was hot.
Brock: Bet that hurt to say.
Zack: You thought I was hot too.
Brock: Got me on that one.

Q:  What gets under your skin the most about one another?

Brock: Oh God. Where to start. I know he can’t help it, but his mood swings are the worst.
Zack: Comes from having a Tasmanian devil inside me. Brock pisses me off when he thinks less of himself. I hate that.
Brock: Aw, babe.

Q:  If you could pick one thing you love the most about your partner, what would it be?

Brock: Zack is very loyal and he might not always say it, but I know he loves me for me. I love that about him.
Zack: Brock is very giving of himself. I think that is what attracts me the most.

Q:  If you had the time to spend a month alone together where would you go? Give us an idea what you would do while there.

Brock: I know where Zack would want to go! *snickers*
Zack: Okay, a month alone on a firing range? I think not. I would take him to Socorro Island and spoil him rotten.
Brock: Damn. See? He’s a lot more romantic than he thinks.
Zack *loud sigh*

Q:  We know they’re all amazing!  But, who among your friends and family would you say supports you the most?

Brock: That’s easy. Jordy. He’s been there for us through a lot and he always has my back.
Zack: Jaxon for sure.

Q:  If and when you guys decide to tie the knot, can you give us a taste of what your vows would be?

Brock: I promise not to kill him in his sleep?
Zack: Ditto.

Q:  If you guys decide to have children, how many would you want and what would you name them?

Brock: *laughs* Little wolverine/devils? Taz for sure.
Zack: We are not naming a kid…well, wait. I kind of like that name.
Brock: We need two.
Zack: Says who?
Brock: Me. They need a sibling.
Zack: Fine. If we have a girl we name it after your mother.
Brock: Aphrodite?
Zack: Those are the rules!

Is it really any wonder why we love this lady?  She's hilarious, and knows how to add just enough sweet to soften the rough edges of these boys.  Hope you enjoyed the interview, it's only a taste of what you'll find in the book!  See ya around the next page!
