Black & Blühe Release Day Review!!

HEY GUYS, I AM BACK WITH ANOTHER RELEASE DAY REVIEW FOR YA! I LOVE THIS AUTHOR AND THIS SERIES, SO I AM SO HAPPY TO BRING YOU THIS BOOK, AND I AM GLAD MY GIRL CLAUDIA IS GUEST REVIEWING IT FOR ME! I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR HER TAKE ON THIS AWESOME BOOK! I HAVE HER REVIEW OF BLACK AND BLUHE; OUT OF THE BLUE 2; BY: RJ JONES,  AND LINKS FOR YOU, SO LET'S GET STARTED!

THIS QUOTE IS BEAUTIFUL FOR THIS BOOK, CLAUDIA KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK WITH THIS ONE! HERE IS HER REVIEW:

Black & Blühe (Out of the Blue Book 2) by: RJ Jones                                     reviewed by: Claudia

Grayson Black has never forgiven himself for not saving his identical twin brother, Jet, from a savage beating at their father’s hands ten years ago. Jet’s near-death never would have happened if Gray hadn’t been so focused on his boyfriend at the time. He has sworn to take care of his brother ever since. Gray can’t afford a distraction from his self-imposed mission, the type of distraction presented by the gorgeous blond showing up at their gigs.

Kris Larson is a firefighter with the San Francisco Fire Department. Since splitting from his girlfriend, his favorite way to spend nights off is watching the Black Brothers play in the bars of the Bay Area, especially the guitarist. But it’s not until the brothers are left homeless after a fire at their apartment building that Kris has the opportunity to know the real person behind the brooding façade.

Gray fights his attraction to Kris, but with a meddlesome twin who just wants him to be happy, it’s a losing battle. Before Gray and Kris can have a lasting relationship, though, Gray must learn to forgive himself, let go of the past, and lay more than one demon to rest.

I can’t express how happy I am to return here and review this second book in the series “Out of the Blue” (Thanks Bec!!!!!)
I so loved the first one and like a lot of people, I was waiting anxiously for this sequel.  And Oh Boy!!!  I was not disappointed!  This book is as good as I was hoping it would be.
I fell in love with quiet, troubled Gray from the start… How he tried so hard not to fall in love with Kris. After all, it was easier to believe Kris was not reliable…  How could he believe all Kris wanted was to help him and his brother? Nooo, he couldn’t let himself trust Kris, couldn’t lower his guard! Ever again!
Kris was determined to help the brothers… he couldn’t simply leave them homeless, right? The fact that he was totally infatuated with the guitar player was just a tiny little detail – hehehe.  And of course between the brothers, he had to fall for the brooding one!
When you add to this story Jet, Gray’s brother, you get the last ingredient for an amazing book.  Jet is such a great character… he’s funny, friendly, talkative and he tries his best to make Gray and Kris work out their differences!  I really, really hope Jet gets his own book soon ( Just saying RJ )
I love RJ's writing… She totally knows how to take you into her stories... Don’t miss this great book! I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I did.

the 5 acoustic guitar rating :)

GREAT JOB CLAUDIA, SHE DID A PERFECT JOB DESCRIBING THIS BOOK! AND I LOVE THE RATING, PERFECT! HERE ARE THE LINKS: GRAB IT UP FRIENDS, YOU WILL LOVE IT I PROMISE!

LOVING JOSHUA REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, I AM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS NEXT BOOK, LOVING JOSHUA; THE JOSHUA SERIES #1 BY GREIN MURRAY! THIS IS A BOOK WITH A FRESH, INVENTIVE STORYLINE THAT IS SURE TO GRAB YOU LIKE IT DID ME! I HAVE MY REVIEW AND SALES LINKS FOR YOU, SO LET'S GET STARTED:

BOY THIS IS SO TRUE FOR JOSHUA! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Loving Joshua (Joshua Series #1) by: Grein Murray
                                                                  reviewed by: Becky

Joshua and Max are two best friends who ran away from home and are now looking for a way out of feeling hungry, scared and being broke. When things seem dire, a man comes into their lives and offers them a deal they can’t pass up. Gay porn was something Joshua had never even thought of doing, but he knows he has to take care of Max. Joshua fears having sex with Max will complicate their best friend status. With no other options they accept the offer. Joshua and Max’s videos are some of the top sellers at the site and while Joshua enjoys sex with Max his feelings become more confusing as the man that hired them has a pull on Joshua that he’s never felt before. Joshua knows one thing, he can’t lose Max.

I fell in love with this book from the start, the relationship between Joshua and Max is so tender and sweet, Joshua would do anything for his best friend, even venture into the world of gay porn.

Josh and Max were best friends, never lovers, yet when their situation seems dire, and they are homeless and hungry, Michael offers them a place to live, and everything they need if they will do gay porn, but only with each other.

Joshua and Max are so sweet and close that the fact that they start having sex just seems a natural progression of their friendship. The author was very smart to write it this way, and believe me, it takes skills to pull this off!

Things get a bit more complicated when Michael and Joshua admit they are attracted to each other, and Max has caught someones eye as well. Add into that a housemate who has a an unrequited crush and things really may get messy!

Can Joshua have love and his best friend too, because as much as he wants to explore what could be with Michael, nothing is more important than his bond with Max.

Yes friends, you really have to read this one! It is brilliant, and you will not be disappointed! Thanks Grein, for a book I couldn't put down and can't wait to read again!

BROKEN CIRCLE RELEASE DAY REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, I HAVE A RELEASE DAY REVIEW FOR YOU OF A BOOK I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR! BROKEN CIRCLE; SIRIUS WOLVES 2 BY VICTORIA SUE IS A WINNER FOR SURE, BUT YOU WILL NOT COME OUT UNSCATHED  THIS I PROMISE! I HAVE MY REVIEW, LINKS, AND EVEN AN EXCERPT FOR YOU, SO LET'S GET TO IT!

THIS QUOTE IS PERFECT FOR THIS BOOK, HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Broken Circle (Sirius Wolves 2) by: Victoria Sue
                                                             reviewed by: Becky

Blaze, the most powerful werewolf on the planet has found his omega, Aden. Together with Conner and Darric they finally become true mates, fulfilling an ancient prophecy by the goddess Sirius and forming Orion’s Circle. The battle against the terrorist group, the Winter Circle, has begun.
Blaze, however, is fighting his own battle. Aden is due to birth a child, and despite Blaze's six hundred years of being an Alpha, nothing has prepared him for his hardest challenge yet -- how to become a father. His struggles are hurting the people he loves the most and threatening their bond.
The madman who kidnapped and tortured Aden still hasn’t been caught, and when the worst happens and their circle is broken, Blaze has to fight his biggest threat yet – his own inner weakness – an enemy against which his Alpha strength will be useless. Blaze has to learn that true strength is only found in forgiveness, and sometimes the most powerful weapon is love.

I have said I have been gutted by a book before, but I haven't, not really, not until this one! This is a beautiful story, and I commend Victoria Sue for doing what I know was very hard in this storyline, but to put hearts back together, they first have to be broken.

Blaze is terrified of Aden hurting and the uncertainty that comes with the baby that is coming, how will things ever be the same? The answer is they won't, but with change comes a new normalcy. The four men begin to adjust to life as parents when the unrest starts again. Friends will become foes, and these men won't be sure who to trust.

I don't so spoilers, so I won't give the big heartbreaker away, but what I will say is, that though it is tough to take, this author took a chance with this book and it really paid off in a big way I think. These men will learn forgiveness, healing, and a greater love than ever before.

You simply have to read this book friends, though you will shed tears, you will believe in these men and their story of hope and love. Thanks Victoria, for pushing the boundaries, and producing a beautiful story in the process!

NOW FOR AN EXCERPT:

Darric was the next one to get back. He walked in, his long, silver hair flowing down his back, gray eyes flashing as he zeroed in on Aden. Aden nearly dragged him over to a chair, and Darric with a tired smile to Lilly as she plonked a full plate of meat and bread down, drew Aden straight onto his lap and buried his head in Aden’s chest. He heaved a sigh; Aden gently wrapped his arms around Darric’s back. “There must be something else I can do, Darric,” Aden murmured in frustration. He was so useless without a wolf. He couldn’t even join the search, and he was so weak he knew Conner and Darric were timing their appearances so he wouldn’t get sick.
Darric lifted his head and his big hands settled on each side of Aden’s face. “Listen to me. You are not weak. A weaker person would never have survived the life you have had. Aden, you are one of the strongest people I know.” He placed a kiss on Aden’s lips and Aden tried to get a little closer. Darric broke off. “You have a wolf spirit, Aden. With everything that’s been going on, I should have tried to help you find him far sooner than this.”
Aden looked up eagerly. He had a wolf? He remembered Blaze saying that to him last year. Maybe—
“You will never shift, Aden,” Darric said quickly, picking up Aden’s thoughts. Aden sighed. He would love to have the freedom that they all spoke of.
“Close your eyes.” Aden’s eyes widened at Darric’s words. “I cannot make you shift, but I can give you that feeling. Close your eyes,” Darric urged, and Aden did. “Now breathe. Become aware of who you are, where you are. Your vision loses color, but becomes sharper. As you stand in the grass, poised to run, the scents surround you, become intense. You don’t just stand on the grass, the grass surrounds you and carries you forward. You start to run.”
Darric’s words washed over Aden as he ran, chasing every scent, breathing in the flowers, the earth, the wind through his fur and the sun on his back. It was wonderful, and he wanted it so much.
“Aden?” Aden opened his eyes slowly, felt regret as Darric kissed his cheek. “I’m sorry. I should have done that far sooner, and I don’t have time to do any more.”
Aden nodded. “That was wonderful. Is that what Blaze meant? That I would find my wolf?”
Darric took the sandwich that Aden passed him. “No, Blaze meant it as a more spiritual concept.” He took a large bite.
Aden sat up. “Then how did I see that? Was that not my wolf?”
Darric swallowed and grinned. “No, Aden. That was my wolf you felt.” He nudged Aden almost playfully. “He likes you.” Darric finished his sandwich and glugged the coffee that was on the table. He lifted Aden as he stood, and settled him down on the chair he had just vacated. Darric leaned in, cupped Aden’s chin with one hand to raise his face, and clasped Aden’s other hand to his heart. “When Blaze is home safe, I’m going to take you camping to the base of the Lookout Mountain. It’s beautiful. You’ll find your wolf, and share mine as much as you like.” Darric nibbled Aden’s lips gently, stood silently and smiled. “You are far more powerful than you know.”
OK FRIENDS, I HOPE YOU ARE CONVINCED YOU NEED THIS BOOK BY NOW, IF YOU HAVEN'T READ BOOK 1, ORION'S CIRCLE, GRAB THAT ONE TOO :p, THANKS FOR JOINING ME FOR RELEASE DAY! SEE YOU SOON!

STORMING LOVE: ANDERS AND UJARUK REVIEW!!

HEY GUYS, I AM HERE WITH A GREAT LITTLE READ YOU WILL WANT TO GRAB! I LOVE THE STORMING LOVE EARTHQUAKE SERIES, AND BOOK 4 IS NO EXCEPTION! HERE IS MY REVIEW OF STORMING LOVE EARTHQUAKE ANDERS AND UJARUK, ALONG WITH SALES LINKS: ENJOY:

THIS QUOTE IS PERFECT FOR THIS BOOK! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Storming Love Earthquake: Anders and Ujaruk by: Caraway Carter
                                                                        reviewed by: Becky

Geologist Anders Thorpe has sworn off relationships with colleagues, after his last one ended in a dirty little game of sabotage. Six months later and he's preparing to camp and investigate a gold mine that might still be active. He's joined by Ujaruk an archaeologist who fights an inner battle with the fact that he's a native Aleut, and wondering if he'll ever find the perfect man.

Will Anders break his vow? Will Ujaruk find the right guy? Will they survive whatever is thrown their way?

I love it when I read a book and I know I am going to love it from the first sentence, this was that book for me. I was drawn to Anders and the strength he had to walk away from a toxic situation.

Ujaruk is trying to come to terms with his heritage, and he just wants someone to like him for who he really is, not who he pretends to be. It would be great if Anders were that guy, but he has sworn off relationships with coworkers because of a bad experience.

Can these two men work through their issues with self and love and figure out that what they have been missing in their lives is each other? What about when a natural disaster rears it's ugly head? How will these two fare, and will they get the chance to see if they are a match?

I love the plot of this one and how the author pulled it off! Thanks Caraway, for giving us a well developed novella with a beautiful plot!

IF THAT SOUNDS GREAT, YOU SHOULD READ THE EXCERPT:

Excerpt:
I hate parties.
I hovered by the door leading into the living room. It was crowded with people drunk off their arses. They looked, quite frankly, ridiculous the way they tried to flirt and hook up with each other. It was disgusting. No one had better come over to me with their cheesy pick-up lines.
I wanted to leave. But the front door was on the opposite side of the living room. To get there I had to cross said room full of people who would notice me. Not that anyone had spoken to me yet since I arrived, but I had been invited. Probably because I’d been within earshot when my classmates had been talking about it, but I had been asked nonetheless.
Why did I say yes?
That was the million dollar question. I didn’t like parties, I didn’t like being sociable. I wasn’t good at it. Drawing attention to myself… I couldn’t do it.
People headed for the kitchen, almost shouting at each other to be heard over the music and everyone else.
I drew back and turned to find somewhere to hide.
My gaze fell on a door that had a simple WC sign on it. Really? What was the point of that in their own house? That was the kind of sign for public toilets. Maybe that was the point.
Still, it was a room. A door with a lock.
I could hide in there until the party calmed down and I dared to venture into that living room. I did this for you, Mum. I opened the door and found the room empty. I breathed a sigh in relief. You wanted me to be sociable and here I am. Never again. Never ever. This was the last time I tried. Being cooped up in my room was heaven compared to this.
I closed the door after me. A bottle clinked against the wood. I looked down at my other hand and the beer bottle clutched in it. I’d forgot about it in my panic facing the living room. Someone had pressed it into my hand when I’d arrived.
I crossed the small room to lean against the smooth wall, slowly sinking down to sit on the floor.
I should go home and enjoy my own company. Get on the laptop and get online. Play a game, do coursework, anything else but sitting here hiding. I didn’t even have my sketchbook with me, so I couldn’t draw. I could do that at home though.
I sat the bottle of beer on the floor next to me. I eyed it. I had drunk from it and it had tasted like piss. Not that I knew what that tasted like, but it was what I imagined it would taste like. I hadn’t ever drunk alcohol—never felt the need to. Not having any mates or being sociable meant I’d never experienced any peer pressure.
Tonight was, apparently, a night for new adventures though. I took another sip of the vile thing and almost choked as a result. I forced it down on sheer willpower. Perhaps tonight was the night I would experience being drunk. It wouldn’t take long if I got the beer down. Not being used to alcohol, I wouldn’t need much to feel the effects. Or so the internet told me. Why anyone liked beer, or would drink it to savour the taste, was beyond me.
I drank some more. Torturing myself was what I was doing. I should leave, but then I’d have to go through the living room where everyone was gathered. I couldn’t do that. I couldn’t risk having all their attention on me—it would definitely leave me in a state of panic.
Slam!

NOW FOR A Q&A WITH T.T. KOVE:
Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing TT Kove author of Protection.
Hi TT, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself, your background, and your current book.

Hi, thanks so much for having me! I’m TT, born and bred in Norway, and I’ve been a published author of m/m fiction since late 2011. My favourite genre to both write and read is contemporary, so it’s safe to say that it is the genre of my new book. It has college age protagonists, one of whom deals with, at times, crippling anxiety.

Bec- Sounds like a great story, and a theme many people can identify with, I know I am awkward in big crowds, so I try to avoid them if I can.
  1. Was there a basis for this story? A previous experience or something else?

Originally, the first few thousand words were an old rewrite of an even older story. I came up with these characters, though, and the situation in the old rewrite fit it so well, so I adapted it to fit with Adrian and Oliver. Also, Adrian’s anxiety is heavily based on my own anxiety.

Bec- I don't know if that would be harder or easier, basing even parts of a character on oneself, I would be scared to death to try, so this is commendable.
  1. What skills do you think a writer needs?

A vital skill is imagination, as well as the skill to tell the stories that needs to be told.

Bec- Yep, that pretty much sums it up! ;p

  1. What for you is the perfect book hero?

Someone who’s flawed. A flawed hero is realistic. Someone who’s nothing but perfect gets boring.

Bec- YES! I love a flawed hero that you get to watch become better, or whole again!
  1. Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

Finding the time to write, definitely. And when the words aren’t flowing, when it’s all a struggle, it’s challenging to just keep plunging through.

Bec- I can imagine that would be tough, the time issue and the writers block.
  1. Tell us about your favorite childhood book.
I don’t think I ever had one favourite book. I read a lot. Obviously, the Harry Potter books are close to my heart. I devoured the Animorphs books. Even earlier, I was hooked on RL Stine books.

Bec- Oh boy, here is where I get flogged, I have never read the Harry Potter books, or seen the movies. (ducks head), I am more of a Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe kinda girl! ;) Thanks T.T. for answering these questions, it was a blast!
