BLOOD AND RAIN MINI REVIEW:

THIS IS PERFECT FOR THIS SUBURB BOOK 1, HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Adrien Gilbert has spent several lifetimes searching for the love he lost. Born in the 1800s into a clan of fabled vampire hunters, Adrien once wanted nothing more than to tend his family’s vineyard in southern France or read a good book. But Adrien’s peaceful existence ends abruptly when his older brother, François, is murdered. Bound by his hunter’s oath, Adrien sets out on a path that will forever change his life when he agrees to execute his brother’s killer, the vampire Charles Duvalier.

After months chasing the elusive Charles, Adrien reluctantly makes a bargain with Nicolas Lambert, an ancient vampire. Adrien will escort Nicolas to Paris for his marriage to a rival clanswoman, and Nicolas will help Adrien find Charles. Nicolas’s quiet strength and gentle heart soon convince Adrien that Nicolas is nothing like the vampires he has sworn to destroy. As the wedding date draws nearer, a force intent on destroying the fragile peace between the vampire clans threatens to tear apart both theed vampire realm and the world of the hunters. To secure both past and future for those he loves, Adrien must find a way to stop the looming war between hunters and vampires. But first he’ll have to let Nicolas go.

Man I love a flashback scene in a book when it is done right, and boy is this one done right! The story weaves and flows seamlessly, and it is so real and vibrant that you feel you can almost reach out and touch poor Adrian's heartbreak!

All of the characters in this book are described flawlessly, so they fit into their own little nook in the story, and Adrian and Nicolas are flawlessly portrayed! This book will have you going through so many emotions you won't know what hit you! AHHHH! The ending, whew, I was so glad when I got to read book 2!

Get this one friends, it is a study in what a stellar Vampire book should be! Thanks Shira for this beautiful story which has only just begun!

THIS QUOTE IS PERFECT FOR THIS BOOK! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Blood and Ghosts (Blood Series #2) Shira Anthony
                                                               reviewed by: Becky

With vampire Nicolas Lambert’s marriage to a rival clanswoman only weeks away, Adrien Gilbert struggles to come to terms with his defeat at the hands of Verel Pelletier, a vampire hunter and an immortal like himself. Adrien and his former teacher, Roland Günter, begin to explore his newly acquired abilities. But without his soul’s sword, Adrien flounders.

On Nicolas’s wedding day, a two-hundred-year old secret is revealed, sending the wedding party into a blazing battle between hunters and vampires. Once again Adrien finds himself facing Pelletier’s superior strength. Just as Adrien believes all hope of a future with Nicolas is lost, he finally learns his true gift—he can turn back time. But time travel comes with a high cost. To save Nicolas, Adrien must become strong enough to use his power without descending into madness.

I was reading this book, and it made me think of the all important pre-test in high school, you get most of the info you will need for your final exam, and it is presented in an orderly fashion that is easy to follow! This book is that for me, it gave me the info I needed for the final book, and it did it in spectacular fashion!

The way Shira tells a story is perfect, your emotions are right in tune with the book, and at times I was wondering if I could take it! Adrian goes through so much, for so long for the man who holds, no owns his heart!

I really enjoyed the time travel aspect of the story, an how she did it was brilliant, again I don't do spoilers, just know you will get so much out of this book, and yet book three will hold so much more I am sure!

I would urge everyone to get this book, and if you haven't read Blood and Rain, you need to start there, this is beautiful story that needs to be experienced from start to finish! Thanks Shira, for once again giving us a wonderful book that we will love for years to come!

I DID THIS RATING FOR A VIVID DREAM OF ADRIAN'S! HERE ARE THE BUY LINKS :)

NOW HERE IS AN INTERVIEW WITH ADRIAN SHIRA WAS KIND ENOUGH TO SHARE WITH US! YAY!!

Adrien is a vampire hunter who was given the gift of immortality by the vampire he falls in love with, Nicolas Lambert. Nicolas’s older brother, Jean, offers Adrien the location of the vampire Adrien believes killed his brother in return for Adrien escorting Nicolas to Paris to marry a rival clanswoman. But Adrien’s hatred for vampires dissolves in the wake of Nicolas’s kind strength. Adrien’s life will never be the same once he meets Nicolas.

Q: How did you get yourself into accompanying the man he loves to his marriage to someone else?

I’ve asked myself that more times than I can count! *laughs* In the US, they say that hindsight is 20/20. Add on a century or so, though, and things become muddled again. I really believed the entire proposition would be as simple as Nicolas and his brother Jean proposed. They agreed to take me to Charles Duvalier, the vampire I believed killed my brother, and I was to escort Nicolas to Paris to be married. They did just as they’d promised. I just never realized that when it came to Nicolas, I’d grow to care for him so much. No, I’m not being honest. Not just care for him, but that I’d come to love him more than I could have imagined.

Q: What did you really feel when you first set eyes on Nicolas?

Confused. I’d heard of hunters falling for vampires, but I hated them. Or that’s what I told myself. One of the bastards had killed my mother, and another my older brother. What was I supposed to think? But Nicolas seemed different. Calm. Focused. Kind. *shakes his head* I expected he’d be weak. At nineteen, I didn’t understand that power and goodness could reside in the same person. The first time I saw him, I lost myself. I forgot everything around me, and just saw him. I should have realized then that I’d already fallen in love with him.

Q: Tell us about a favorite childhood memory.

My mother took me and my brother, François, to the ocean when we were young. It took us nearly four days to ride there by coach, and I remember the feeling of excitement I had when I first saw the water. We didn’t do anything but play in the waves, but we were happy. The next year, my mother was murdered, and my life changed. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that when I left France, I settled in Miami. When I walk the beaches there, sometimes I imagine the high-rise buildings were never built, and I can almost see myself back on the sand, on the Mediterranean, more than a hundred years ago.

Q: If you could be anywhere in the world/time right know where would it be?

Anywhere, any time, with Nicolas.

Q: When and where would you like to live?

Given my last answer? *shrugs* I suppose I’ve grown accustomed to modern technology. Cell phones, internet, computers. I’m not sure I’d want to revisit the past again. What do the American’s say? “Been there, done that?”

Q: What is one thing from your back story the reader won’t know from reading the book?

It’s no secret that I never wanted to be a vampire hunter. When I was quite young, I used to imagine myself captain of a great sailing vessel. I often dreamed I might sail away and never return to the vineyard or my studies. I suppose it’s fitting that I ended up making my fortune in shipping, though I didn’t learn to sail until I was more than a century old.

RUBBLE AND THE WRECKAGE REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, HERE IS MY REVIEW OF 'RUBBLE AND THE WRECKAGE', BY RODD CLARK! I HAVE MY REVIEW, AND BUY LINKS FOR THIS ONE, SO LET'S TAKE A LOOK:

THIS IS A LESSON CHRISTIAN HAS TO LEARN IN THIS BOOK, THIS QUOTE IS SIMPLE, BUT PERFECT! HERE IS MY REVIEW!

Rubble and the Wreckage (A Gabriel Church Tale #1)                                                              by:  Rodd Clark  reviewed by: Becky

Gabriel Church knows you can’t take a life without first understanding just how feeble life is, how tentative and weak it stands alone. If you desire murder, you hold a life in your hand. Whether you release it to grant life or grip tighter to end it, it is at your command and discretion. Gabriel is a serial killer with a story he wants told.

Christian Maxwell studied abnormal psychology in college but chose instead to focus on a career in writing. His background comes in handy when he thinks of writing about a serial killer. He can’t think of anyone more qualified to write the story of Gabriel Lee Church, and do so in the murderer’s own words. It’s been done before, but never with a killer who has yet to be captured or convicted.

There was never anything more than a gentleman’s understanding between the two men that Christian would record Gabriel’s life story. The killer did not ask for his complicity in any crimes, nor did he ever ask for his silence. Christian’s interest in the man, though, is fast becoming something more than academic. When the writer and his subject become unexpected friends and then lovers, the question remains: What is Gabriel’s endgame . . . and why does he want his story told?

I love when I am taken out of my comfort zone and I enjoy it, I usually don't do books with a dark theme, and those without a clear resolution, but I am very glad I read this book 1 in what promises to be an awesome series!

Christian is a smart guy, and a talented writer, and now he is writing the story of a serial killer, whose story isn't finished yet! The way these men are written is brilliant, because the author makes it seem like the feelings between these two men is a natural progression the story should take, the flow of this book is wonderful!

What makes Gabriel tick is what Christian wants most to know, but does he ever find out? Humm I don't think even Gabriel knows all of the time ;)! The man is dark, dangerous, and sexy as hell, but there is something in his character that draws you to him, just like it drew Christian!

I don't give away spoilers, but I will say that this book pulls no punches, makes no apologies, and basically kicks ass and takes names! Grab it if you want a mindbending, sexy read that will leave you wanting book two with a quickness! Thanks Rodd, for a book that made me take a walk on the dark side and really enjoy it!

HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BOOK BLAST STOP:

HELLO FRIENDS: TODAY I HAVE A BOOK BLAST STOP FOR ' HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE' BY JAYSON JAMES! THIS IS A GREAT BOOK, AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SHARE IT! I HAVE MY REVIEW, BUY LINKS, AN EXCERPT, AUTHOR BIO AND LINKS AND A RAFFLECOPTER GIVEAWAY: SO LET'S GET STARTED:

THIS QUOTE IS PERFECT FOR THIS STORY! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

How It Was Supposed to Be by: Jayson James
                                                                   reviewed by: Becky

The Kennicott’s were living the carefree life of an upper middle class family. That was until one day when his father arrives home from work and shares the company he has worked for since he was Reese’s age has gone out of business. Adding to the stress of being out of work for the worst time is the worst economic downturn the United States has ever faced. It does not take long for the Kennicotts to fall behind in their bills and lose everything.

Reese Kennicott had everything he could ever want and life was good. He worked a part time job to have extra money and to socialize. Now he is working all the hours he can get in order to help his family get by, which isn’t much. Reese is now dating the guy of his dreams, he along with his friends seem to be the only stable thing going for him.

Hope finally comes with a new job that will take the family across the country. This means for Reese giving up his lifelong friends, his new boyfriend and life as he’s always known it. The family takes with them what they can and begins on a road trip to their new life. Along the way, they encounter several barriers and hope begins to fade. Each day things look bleaker and the Kennicott’s begin to wonder if they are going to make it to their destination.

I really enjoyed this story, and it was brilliant the way the author let you get to know Reese, and the details of his life in the first of the story. That way when the family's situation changed, you were invested in the character's and the story, so you feel what they feel, I love that about this story!

Reese has a job (albeit not the best boss in the world, but a job anyway), a nice home, great friends, and even a new boyfriend so life is looking up! Then Reese's dad loses his job and the family has to make some changes. Reese has to come to terms with an awful lot in a short amount of time.

Keeping up with friends, and Cruz through texts is all that keeps Reese going some days, the journey to a new job, city, and essentially a new life isn't a bed of roses, but this family handles it as best they can.

This is a book about the lessons that a young man learns about family, who his true friends are and their role in his life, and if the guy he thinks could be the one thinks the same about him! I really got into this story, and so will you! Thanks Jayson, for letting us go along with Reese on this life changing journey!

HERE IS AN EXCERPT FOR YOU TO ENJOY:

A few days later Cruz caught Reese on his way out to the parking lot after school.  He appeared so smug and at the same time seemed so debonair as he approached Reese.  When he was close enough, he looked around, perhaps to make sure there was no one in ear shot.  There was no greeting from Cruz before he asked, Relationship troubles?
He responded, You mean Morgan?  Cruz nodded his head as if telling him duh.  Were only friends.
Oh.  Cruz shrugged, So hes not gay then?
No hes not gay.   Reese did not feel it was his place to share Morgans bisexuality.
Cruz stared at him, only perpetuating Reeses discomfort.  Youre gay though?
Yes.  Youre gay too?  He figured fair was fair.
Nodding in agreement, Cruz asked, Do you have a boyfriend?
No.  Reese was feeling as if he was being sized up added, I hear you dont either.  Cruz was silent, glancing away and yawning, appearing disinterested in the conversation.  Reese decided that hed better make his move, You want to go out sometime?
Cruz turned toward him and seemed to be thinking over his response.  Reese smiled feeling hopeful and then concerned he might be coming off as desperate.  Cruz nodded, That would be fine by me.   Then he turned to walk away without saying another word.

I JUST LOVE REESE AND CRUZ TOGETHER, CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO READ IT! HERE IS A BIO AND SOME SOCIAL LINKS FOR JAYSON JAMES! :)

I have a horrible time when it comes to writing about myself.  It is not that I have low self-esteem, but the fact that I am not comfortable talking about myself.

For most of my life, I have been writing and sharing it with my friends.  They have repeatedly told me I needed to publish my writing and share it with the world. Now that I have, I am amazed at how many people admire it.

My interests beyond writing include reading a variety of books, watching movies and drawing.

I truly appreciate all the support and encouragement from my friends, family, and you. I am so thankful to your support!

Keep on reading! I am always interested in hearing about what people are reading, especially if it is something I have written.

BEN'S BEGINNING RELEASE DAY REVIEW!!

HELLO MY FRIENDS! I AM SO HAPPY TO FINALLY BE ABLE TO BRING YOU THIS BOOK! IT IS RELEASE DAY FOR 'BEN'S BEGINNING', THE SEQUEL TO 'SOL'S SOLSTICE' BY LEONA WINDWALKER! I KNOW YOU GUYS THAT HAVE READ SOL'S BOOK WANTED THIS ONE AS MUCH AS I DID, NOW IT'S HERE! YAY, I HAVE MY REVIEW, BUY LINKS, AN EXCERPT, AND AN AUTHOR BIO, SO LET'S GET STARTED:

OH MY YES! THIS IS PERFECT FOR BEN! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Ben's Beginning (New Beginning's #2) by: Leona Windwalker
                                                             reviewed by: Becky

Filled with guilt and self recriminations over his identical twin Sol's kidnapping and abuse, Ben seeks counseling which reveals he too has scars from his own suffering during the ordeal. He desperately tries to make amends with Sol, Seth, and his foster parents, and to make himself a better man. Meeting sweet, funny, gorgeous Marty at the Crab Derby seems like fate is finally smiling on him when he returns to college in Atlanta and spies Marty at his favorite local coffee shop. Marty causes him to have to face questions he never knew he'd have to ask about himself, as he discovers Marty is not a girl at all as he'd first supposed. Marty's not only a very gender fluid male but the one person who seems to complete Ben's heart if Ben can only acccept both Marty and himself as the people they truly are.
When events from his past return, Ben's left wondering if perhaps karma has returned to pay him in kind and whether or not Marty will end up as collateral damage. Desperate to hold onto what they might have together, Marty enlists the help of family and friends to help Ben find his self worth. But is it enough? Marty hopes so. He simply can't imagine a happily ever after without Ben in it.

I have been waiting to see what this author would do with Ben's book, and how she would redeem him to fans that weren't to happy with him for what he accidentally got Sol and eventually himself into in the last book! Well let me tell you, she did a fantastic job, and I really love Ben's story!

Ben feels a lot of guilt for what happened to his brother Sol, and the lasting affects it has had, though it happened to him on a lesser degree, he blames himself for not seeing through his parents like Sol did. He has made peace with Sol's husband Seth, and he feels like he finally has a bond with his brother that could be strong, if he will let himself be loved by them.

Marty is beautiful, and when Ben meets 'her' at a fair, there is instant attraction, but when he is lucky enough to see Marty again at collage, Marty ignores him, why? Ben finds the answer out soon enough, and his reaction to it has him questioning everything he ever knew about himself.

What I love about both Ben and Marty is when they decide the attraction is mutual, they jump in with both feet, and I love it when they "meet the parents" it is  awesome! The past doesn't stay buried forever, and what will happen when Ben finds himself in danger not once, but twice?

This book is wonderful, the perfect sequel, and I love that you get to see so many of the characters from book one, and how they blend seamlessly into the book! Grab Ben's Beginning, you will fall in love with it just like I did! Thanks Leona, for a book 2 that more than delivers the goods!

What he assumed were also cable ties dug into his flesh. Moving them proved to be a mistake as it began to return a small measure of circulation to hands he had failed to notice were numb. Pins and needles prickled unbearably. Not again. Seriously, this shit is getting old.

Really, really old. He could hear movement somewhere else close by. Probably more squatters, in the office next door. “Hey, anybody there? Hey, can you come help me?” A shadow fell across the doorway as a large frame filled it. As the figure stepped into room, it became clear that person was a rather large man with greasy lank hair and a spotty face. As the man spoke, yellowed, broken teeth also became evident. It was rather disconcerting as it was difficult to hold him in focus.

“Shut your yap. You keep making that noise, I'll tape your mouth closed.” Ben remained silent. “That's better. Now you just sit tight and I'll go let your uncle know you're awake.”

OH YEAH, POOR BEN HAVING TO DEAL WITH MORE CRAZIES! HERE IS SOME INFO ON LEONA:

Leona is a longtime staunch supporter of human rights and environmental causes. She has far too many books on her Kindle, has overloaded her phone with even more and, when not reading, writing, being driven to distraction by her children, or being overlorded by her three cats, can be found trying to locate the portal that the sock monster uses to steal socks from her dryer.

RYDE THE LIGHTNING RELEASE DAY REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, I HAVE A RELEASE DAY REVIEW HERE I KNOW I, AND MANY OTHERS HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO! RYDE THE LIGHTNING; THE TWELVE OLYMPIANS  BK 5, BY SANDRINE GASQ- DION HAS BEEN ON MY ' I CAN'T WAIT' LIST FOR A WHILE! YAY RELEASE DAY, HERE IS MY REVIEW, BUY LINKS, AN EXCERPT AND A BIO FOR YA! LET'S GET TO IT!

OH THIS IS JUST PERFECT FOR THE WAY DANE FEELS IN THE START OF THIS BOOK! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Ryde the Lightning (The 12 Olympians Bk 5) by: Sandrine Gasq-Dion
                                                                 reviewed by: Becky

Siberian pack alpha Dane Durov endured a lot in his young life and managed to survive, so he always assumed that he had a special purpose in life. If he’d had to guess, though, ‘bodyguard to the child of an Olympian god’ wouldn’t have been his first guess. Frankly, he still thought it sounded like something out of a romance writer’s imagination. Romance. The mere word reminds Dane that love brings nothing but exploding pain. A man had ripped his heart out and left him hollow, but spending time with Ryder Winters is weakening Dane's defenses. The young demigod is sweet, caring, beautiful — and dangerous. Dane finds himself daring to laugh again — but love?

Ryder Winters is shocked — no, stunned beyond reason — when he finds out that Zeus is his biological father. Zeus. The god of the sky and ruler of all Olympian gods. As a demigod under constant threat, Ryder needs around-the-clock protection. He struggles to deal with his newfound superpowers, but he also battles his growing feelings for his guardian, Dane Durov. A trip to Siberia with Dane intensifies the confusion and adds lust and love to the mix for Ryder as he comes face to face with the past Dane has been trying to forget.

Things spiral out of control as Ryder's powers are unleashed and Dane struggles to come to terms with his growing love for the man he's willing to protect at any cost.

Ok first of all, how beautiful is this cover! Whew, I love it, and no surprise here, I love the book too! I fell head over heels for this series, and the one that it is a spinoff of, The Assassin Shifter series, and I have devoured book after book! This is one author that knows what she is doing, the books never get confusing, even with all the different characters she puts into each one, and that takes true talent!

Dane Durov has had his heart broken in the worst way, and has vowed never to love again, only that vow gets tested when he is put in charge of the safety of one if the 12 Olympians, Ryder Winters. Poor Dane won't know what hit 'em ;)!

Ryder has had to overcome a terrible crime that was committed against him by the people that were supposed to love him the most, it has left him with fears that he struggles to overcome daily. The strength of spirit Ryder has is inspiring to say the least, and he is determined to battle his demons of fear,

Ryder and Dane go to Siberia to visit Dane's mother, and Ryder learns more about what makes Dane tick, and why he pulls away from their mutual attraction. While in Siberia, they must fight old ghosts, and fight for their very survival, will this bring them closer together, or further apart?

You will love this book guys! It has all the elements that make this series wonderful! If you are new to the series, I will include Sandrine's Amazon page link so you can start at book 1 of the Assassin Shifter series and fall in love with these remarkable men one or two at a time ;)! Thanks Sandrine, for giving us a very good reason to love this series so much!

NOW FOR AN EXCERPT:

Ryder spent a little over an hour in the pool and when they were
finished, he followed Ryder back to the house he shared with the other guys.
Ryder’s roommates, also children of the gods, were sitting around the
kitchen table going over the play list for Cuffs and Stuff. All of them except
for Ashton and Tatum sang in the “Barely Legal” group. Dane leaned
against the kitchen wall, arms crossed, listening to the boys harmonize.
It was nice to know that Ryder had friends his own age that were all
children of the gods. The main occupants of the house were Stone, Ryder
and Nate. Skylar Foxx stayed now and again, but his home was with Justice
Salvatore—a werewolf and Skylar’s mate and guardian. Stone was the child
of Apollo and mated to shape shifter, Killian Tenebris. Nate was the child of
Dionysus and still unmated. He and Skylar were close due to the fact they
had both been rent boys at one time.
Dane shook his head with a smile. Who would have thought this was
where he’d be? A guardian of an Olympian. Wayne Maccon had told him
that the Fates didn’t choose blindly—that he was chosen for a reason. The
order was placed by James Jacobs, but Dane had recently found out that the

Fates had specifically chosen him to protect Ryder Dane just wished he knew what that reason was. Was he strong? Hell
yes, but being in close proximity to Ryder Winters was changing him. He’d
always prided himself on being in control of everything. The guardian role
was thrown at him once he’d been rescued from Siberia when rogues had
taken out his whole pack.
“Dane?”
Dane snapped out of his thoughts to see all the boys grinning at him.
“Yes?”
“I’m going to change and then we’re going.” Ryder smiled.
“Okay.” Dane eyed Nate as he opened a bag and peered inside.
“What’s in there?” he asked.
“Um, poodle skirts and saddle shoes.” Nate blushed slightly.
“Excuse me?” Dane said, slowly.
“Um, well, you see, Olivia has this school project she’s doing for
media class and we all volunteered to help out,” Nate explained.
“By wearing poodle skirts?” Dane lifted a questioning brow.
“Yes.” Stone crossed his arms and narrowed his gaze at Dane.
“Problem with that?”
Dane lifted his hands. “Hey, whatever makes you guys happy.”
He’d grown accustomed to seeing the guys barely dressed and
strutting across the stage at Cuffs and Stuff, but poodle skirts? That was a
new one.
