I know I have said it before, but I love this author! The way he can craft a story and weave into it emotions that you yourself feel deep in your heart is amazing, and Jonathan's Promise is no different! 

 Jonathan must learn to go on with his life and be strong for his family after the loss of the love of his life, can he keep the promise he made to Dan? Can he keep his family safe and happy?

 When his grandson Parker and Parker's lovely fiance Cody move in with Jonathan they decide to go on an adventure, little do they know how this decision will change multiple lives forever! 

 Can Jonathan be strong when his family needs him most? Can he help his beloved grandson through a time of great trial? Also can Jonathan learn to live again and maybe even love again?

 This is a book that will try your emotions, but in the best way possible! You will feel joy, and you will feel pain, but overall you will feel the emotion that resonates throughout this novel: Hope! Thanks Hans, for yet another beautiful story I will read again and again!

Jamie Ryan was almost ready to accept he’d never find his destined mate. They’re uncommon to begin with and same-sex versions downright rare. Since his gay best friend found a destined mate, Jamie figured he was out of luck. Until end of semester stress forces him to go through the full-moon shift early. Stuck in wolf form, he runs into none other than his destined mate. Who’s human.
Chad Sutton has always had good instincts. They served him well as a detective and continued on when he went private. Those instincts tell him there’s something about the dog that comes up to him while running away from animal control that isn’t quite right. He works to put the pieces together, but is unsuccessful until his dog turns into a human before his eyes.
Jamie has no idea what a shifter’s mate bite will do to a human. He’s terrified to try—and possibly kill his mate. They hunt together for answers while working together on a case for Chad. It’s easy to see they belong together, but Jamie fears the gods gave him someone he can’t keep.


I was wondering if book 2 could measure up to the wonderful book 1 in this series, and the answer is a resounding yes!! I love Jamie and Chad, and you will be as enchanted with their story as I was!
Jamie never really expects to find his true mate, and he never would have guessed he would be running from a dog catcher when he scented his mate! After Chad saves him and takes him home, Jaime is content to be around his mate as his dog, but he knows he will have to let Chad know who he is eventually!
Chad knows Jaime is special, but he never would have guessed how special! Can these two make a relationship work when they don't know how Jamie's mating bite will effect human Chad? Can they find the answers they seek? If not can they find a way to be together and not be mated?
This is a great book guys, you will love every minute of it! Thanks Grace, for a wonderful 2nd book in this series!

On the ride in, they’d switched to more personal topics. They’d traded movie and music favorites, which took up the majority of the drive. While there were definite differences—apparently Chad would be educating Jamie on the awesomeness that was the ’80s—it was obvious they’d get along quite well, at least when it came to media.
“When you get the phone and it’s connected, call me?”
Jamie blinked at him for a moment, then nodded. “Okay.”
“Cool. I’ll talk to you then.” He smiled, then leaned in and kissed Jamie softly. “It shouldn’t take you too long, right?” He didn’t like the idea of them being apart that much yet. He knew part of that was the mate bond, but part of it was this was still all so new and he simply wanted more time with Jamie.
More blinking. “Uh, no, I don’t think so.”
“Good. I’ll talk to you soon.”
With a wave, Chad climbed into his car, then headed out of the garage. He had a few things to pick up before Jamie called. He sang along with a ridiculous grin on his face as Modern English went on about stopping the world and the future being wide open. He only got through the one song, since the Market District wasn’t too far away. By the time he’d picked out cream for Jamie’s coffee, grabbed more coffee, replaced the almost-empty bottle of lube—which he’d only used to masturbate with in the last couple of years—and made sure he had a couple of days’ worth of groceries, he started to worry when he hadn’t heard from Jamie.

And the next clue is:
“As he walked away, Chad started singing under his breath about strutting with a tail in the air.”

I’m a huge music fan and when I sat down to write Patience, I’d figured out pretty quickly that Chad was, as well. He absolutely loves 80s music and has a tendency to quote (or, rather, refer to them since I didn’t want to get into copyright trouble) the songs. Twelve of those 80s songs were referenced by Chad throughout Patience.

I love this series, and every book I read in it becomes my new favorite! This is the mark of a great series, and also a great author!! I devoured Return To Me, and didn't want to see it end, and neither will you!

 Maverick and Noah had a sweet first love over Noah's summer vacations and Noah thought it was going to last, but one day that all changed when Mav was just gone. He may not hurt like he used to (much), but he has never forgotten Mav, nor could he.

 Maverick would have given anything to stay with Noah, but that wasn't an option. When we learn of Mav's past it is heartbreaking, but how will Noah react, will these two get past the years they lost? Will they be able to see that they are still so right together?

 There are so many elements in this book that combine to make a wonderful story you will want to read again and again! I won't spoil, but I will tell you that you will be rooting for these two all the way! Thanks Aimee for a book 5 worth it's salt and then some!

Tomas and Marc have been best friends since they were kids and went through a lot of emotions together while trying to know each other and maintain their friendship.
Tomas comes from a traditional family … he knows how to be loved and regardless he sometimes feels out of place, he has that security of a home.
Marc comes from a difficult house situation, one parent; his dad, and really doesn’t feel loved or secure under the conditions he lives.
When a school project pairs them together, the friendship develops and time becomes their alley, refuge but then became their enemy.
Tomas and Marc needed to become whole separately to then be able to talk, listen and be there for each other as adults.
The time in the past became a memory and the time in the present became a catalyst for their future as more than friends.  Love then became their all.

I like the way the story was done, because author Skylar Cates (one of my favorite authors, by the way) took me on a journey of really understanding their past and the way the future shaped for Tomas and Marc.

But when Hale reveals to Rick a quietly kept secret about his passion for D/s sex – as well as his first experience in rough sex play – Rick feels a new and deeper bond forming between him and the younger man.




 If I thought book 1 was hot, ahhh call the fire department, cause this one is a scorcher! Added into the increasingly hot sex is the element of suspense that these two live with of being caught by Jake! You just wait, you will be drooling and biting your nails at the same time, believe me, it can be done! 5 stars

 When Hale loses his apartment, Jake suggests that he move in with him and his dad, insisting his dad won’t mind. But Hale is suddenly uncertain about the depth of Rick’s feelings for him when Rick seems slightly reluctant to have him living under the same roof.


Hale is feeling things for Rick, that he thought Rick was feeling too, but Hale beings to doubt Rick's feelings when Jake asks Hale to rent their spare room when his apartment rent goes up, and when Rick is told he hesitates. 

 Could Hale be just a good time to Rick, or is it the fear of getting caught making him hesitate? This book will leave you wanting book 4 yesterday, as Hale and Rick may not be the only ones keeping secrets! 5 Stars
