OVER THE RAINBOW ANTHOLOGY PROMO POST!!

HELLO FRIENDS, I AM HERE WITH AN ANTHOLOGY THAT IS FOR A CAUSE THAT IS CLOSE TO ALL OUR HEARTS! OVER THE RAINBOW IS AN ANTHOLOGY THAT IS WRITTEN BY A WONDERFUL GROUP OF AUTHORS CALLED THE FRIENDS OF DOROTHY, THIS ANTHOLOGY BENEFITS THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS OF THE HORRIFIC ORLANDO SHOOTING. BELOW IS BOOK INFO, THE BLURB, A LIST OF  AUTHORS AND LINKS, AND EVEN AN INTRO BY ALEXA LAND! SO JOIN ME IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT THIS AMAZING ANTHOLOGY!

INTRO BY ALEXA LAND:

Hi all! I’m so honored to be a part of this anthology for a vitally important cause! I’m just one of thirty authors from all over the world who came together and wrote uplifting short stories to share with all of you, in order to raise money for the Orlando shooting victims. Thanks to the generosity of the great folks at eXtasy Books, 100% of the $4.99 sale price goes directly to the GoFundMe campaign! So, for less than 5 bucks, you get to enjoy 30 stories and know your money is helping make a real difference! Talk about a win-win!
My personal contribution is a brand new short story called Oh Baby, which features Dante and Charlie from my Firsts and Forever Series. Whether you know the characters well or are meeting them for the first time, you’ll crack a smile as you watch Dante Dombruso, the big, tough, head of a former crime family, go head-to-head with an adorable two-year-old terror in pigtails! Oh, and if you are a fan of the series, you’re not going to want to miss the surprise revelation at the end of this story!
But as I said, my story is just one of thirty! I for one can hardly wait to check out the rest of the anthology, which includes both old favorites and new-to-me authors! I hope you’ll pick up your copy of Over the Rainbow, and know that you’re supporting a great cause while enjoying some fun reads!
Hugs!
Alexa Land

Description:

Until we meet again on the other side of the rainbow.
We all woke up to the terrible news on Sunday 12th June, 2016, of the horrific attack in Orlando, and not only did it affect the LGBT community, it also outraged the world.
So many of us felt powerless as we watched the horror unfold upon our screens, but Patricia Strehle had a remarkable idea, one that would galvanize an entire community into action. Patricia brought a group of people together with the idea of creating a book, an anthology, and donating all the proceeds from its sale to the families affected by this terrible tragedy.
Over The Rainbow is the result—stories contributed by so many wonderful authors from all over the world. These stories are meant to inspire, to warm the heart, to bring a smile or a gentle laugh to help guide us all through the darkness, and to remind us that we all inhabit this world together, that we need to be kind, and that sometimes, we just need to follow that yellow brick road hand in hand.

A MURDER MOST YOWL RELEASE DAY REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, HERE IS MY RELEASE DAY REVIEW OF A MURDER MOST YOWL BY QUINN DRESSLER, AND BOY DID I ENJOY THIS BOOK! LOOK BELOW FOR MY REVIEW AND LINKS FOR THIS ONE! LET'S GET STARTED!

THIS IS THE PERFECT QUOTE FOR OUR HERO AND THE GOOD SHERIFF ;D!! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

A Murder Most Yowl
A Cam and Jake Cat Sitter Mystery
by: Quinn Dressler
reviewed by: Becky

Cameron Sherwood turned his back on law enforcement the night his investigation led to the death of an innocent gay man. Now Cam spends his time running a business that caters to his favorite animal, cats. But when Cam stumbles upon the body of a friend while feeding her feline, he can’t walk away. Dealing with a sexy yet stubborn sheriff, a matchmaking sister, and a terrifying blind date, Cam must somehow track down a killer, all while keeping the cats around him fed with his gourmet cat treats.

I love a book that combines romance, mystery, and a fair amount of funny, and this book delivers that for sure! I really liked A Murder Most Yowl and you will too!

Cam is a character I can really get behind, I liked him from page one! He is former NCIS and now owns a specialty cat shop to sell his homemade tuna salmon bites among other things. Cam is cat sitting for a regular customer when he walks in on her body, thus beginning the mystery!

Sheriff Jake pushes Cam's buttons for all the wrong reasons from the moment they meet, can these two quit snipping at each other long enough to solve the mystery? If they do they may realize that they don't hate each other as much as they thought they did!

I really liked this book and the only reason I gave it a 4 is that it ended pretty abruptly, I would have loved to hear more about the aftermath of finding the killer and the effect on a certain family. I can't wait to see if there is a book two and what Quinn has in store for us! I will be first in line to read it! Thanks Quinn, for giving us Cam and Jake, and making us want more of them!

the 4 homemade cat treats rating :)

HOW COOL IS THIS COVER!! NOW TO FURTHER ENTICE YOU WITH THE BLURB :p!!!

Jared just wanted to celebrate his birthday and make new friends, but he quickly finds that clubbing can be dangerous. In fact, the whole world is a different place than he thought it was. Werewolves, vampires, and faeries turn out to be all too real. Front and center of it is Steven Chang- alpha heir and all around good guy. He says Jared's his mate. It's all a bit much for Jared to process, but maybe it'll all be okay as Steve says he's willing to date first. For a while anyway. Jared just hopes it's long enough to wrap his head around it all, hopefully without getting disappeared by the mysterious men in suits or anything weirder happening.

TOLD YOU THIS SOUNDED GREAT! WELL WAIT TILL YOU READ IT! HERE IS AN EXCERPT:

Steve's eyes shot open. He became instantly alert, aware of three things at the same time. One was that it was now morning, though a glance at the clock gave testimony that it was not yet seven, when his alarm was set to go off. The second was that sometime during the night, they'd rolled about, Steve onto his back while Jared curled up against him into his side, his head resting on Steve's chest. Nice way to wake up, he decided. He growled. What was not so nice was the fact that someone was knocking on his door at five-thirty in the morning.
The knocking intensified, now rousing Jared. “Wha-?” he blinked sleepily.
“Shhh,” he soothed, sliding gently from beneath. “Just someone at the door. Go back to sleep. I'll be right back.”
“Mmm-kay,” Jared muttered sleepily before burrowing his face into Steve's pillow. Steve brushed a lock of hair off Jared's forehead.
This better be good. He stalked towards the door, not bothering to glance through the peephole before flinging it open. His brother Dale stood there, holding cups of coffee in his hands.
“What the fuck do you want?” he snapped.
Dale gave his a toothy grin. “Now, now, aren't you a grouch before coffee?”
“Why are you bringing me coffee at this hour? In fact, why are you even bringing me coffee at all?”
The smile disappeared from Dale's face. “Those guys at your mate's work? Well, some men fitting that description showed up outside about half an hour ago, sitting in a car for all the world as if we wouldn't notice them.”
“Shit.” Steve grabbed one of the coffees and motioned his brother in. “Just keep your voice down, Jared's asleep.”
“Oh ho, he moves into the building and first night, you get him into your bed. Nice one, bro.”
“They were still moving Desmond in, you idiot. I had him stay so he could get a good night's sleep before his shift today.”
“Uh huh, whatever you wanna tell yourself, man.”
“You're infuriating, you know that?”
Steve got another of his brother's shit eating grins by way of reply.
“Back to the important matters. Other than waking me up to tell me about men sitting outside holding a stake-out or whatever, what else is happening?”
Dale looked serious. “Rather than just watching them with the cameras and the doorman, or confronting them with the betas, Dad thought it might be an idea if you and I went and sat in the lobby, drinking our coffee while staring at them. To, you know, let them know that we know they are there. He reckons it'll show the pack you are taking pack safety seriously and personally and also make the guys either leave or try to come on in. The betas are on standby, waiting in the security office in case we need them.”
Steve looked down at himself. “Let me throw on some clothes,” he mumbled.
“Those sweatpants will do fine, just grab a shirt. Time's awastin'.”
“Yeah, okay. Think there's some in the dryer from yesterday.” He strode over to his utility cupboard, relieved to find he did indeed have a clean t shirt amongst the items he'd left in the dryer after getting Jared's frantic call from work the day before. He hastily pulled it over his head, grabbed his coffee from where he'd sat it on top of the dryer, and wiggled his feet into a pair of sandals by his door.
“Let's go,” he said, running his free hand through his hair in attempt to tame his bedhead. The two men headed for the elevator.
“So, here as my brother or as a Council rep?” Steve asked as the doors slid closed. He pushed the button for the lobby.
“Both,” Dale replied, meeting his gaze briefly.
“Cool.” Steve found that reassuring. The pair stood in silence until the car came to a halt, opening doors to reveal their destination.
Giving a curt nod to Jeff, who was manning the reception desk, Steve strode over to the one of the lobby's large glass windows.Dale stood beside him, staring with him at the car parked across the street. They stood, saying nothing, merely taking occasional sips of coffee as they unwaveringly watched the men in the vehicle. Once eye contact was made, as one, Dale and Steve moved to lounge on a leather sofa that faced the window. A few minutes later they were joined by Lee, who entered the front door carrying a box of pastries and his own cup of coffee. He placed them on the coffee table in front of the sofa and sat down in an armchair placed at the side, with full view of the front door. He angled himself so that he too was looking out of the window.
Steve reached into the box and pulled out a bear claw. He took a careful bite, never once removing his gaze from where it was locked on to the pair across the street. He could see them excitedly talking now, one of them gesticulating and casting glances their way. He grinned as he tore off another bite. Whatever they were saying, neither man appeared happy that they'd been spotted. What, they didn't think nobody would notice their piece of shit car parked across the street with them just sitting there staring at the building? Really? Then again, they probably don't realize that most of the buildings on this block and the next belong to the pack.
“Looks like that's that,” Dale said with satisfaction as the car suddenly pulled out and drove off, the two men within it still deep in discussion.
“I got the plates and texted them to Tim. Hopefully they'll tell us just who we are up against and what they want with your mate,” Lee said. He wiped his hands on a paper napkin the bakery had provided. He sighed. “I love A Bite of Heaven's danishes. The cheese one is divine, I tell you.”
“It was a great decision to allow the Cheswick coven to rent the space and open a bakery,” Dale agreed.”
“They said they are looking to expand, add some tables and chairs so people can eat in and not just carry out, maybe extend the counter and add barstools. I told them you'd stop by this afternoon to talk it over with their Prince. Seeing as you'll take over as Alpha quite soon, I thought it just as well it be you.”
“Me? Yeah, okay,” Steve said.
“They said he'd meet you at the bakery, after they close at six. You can bring Jared if he's not working. It'd be good for them to get to know him.”
Steve nodded and rose, tossing his empty cup into a trashcan placed discretely in the corner. “Sure thing. Speaking of Jared, I left him alone up there, and he might be awake wondering where I've gone. I best get back and let him know everything's okay.”

EVERYDAY HISTORY RELEASE DAY REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, I AM HERE WITH MY RELEASE DAY REVIEW OF EVERYDAY HISTORY, AND BOY DO I LOVE THIS BOOK! BELOW IS MY REVIEW ALONG WITH LINKS FOR THIS BOOK SO LET'S GET STARTED!!

NOT ONLY IS THIS QUOTE SO TRUE, IT IS ALSO PERFECT FOR THIS BOOK! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Everyday History
by: Alice Archer
reviewed by: Becky

Headstrong Ruben Harper has yet to meet an obstacle he can’t convert to a speed bump. He’s used to getting what he wants from girls, but when he develops a fascination for a man, his wooing skills require an upgrade. After months of persuasion, he scores a dinner date with Henry Normand that morphs into an intense weekend. The unexpected depth of their connection scares Ruben into fleeing.

Shy, cautious Henry, Ruben’s former high school history teacher, suspects he needs a wake-up call, and Ruben appears to be his siren. But when Ruben bolts, Henry is left struggling to find closure. Inspired by his conversations with Ruben, Henry begins to write articles about the memories stored in everyday objects. The articles seduce Ruben with details from their weekend together and trigger feelings too strong to avoid. As Henry’s snowballing fame takes him out of town and further out of touch, Ruben stretches to close the gaps that separate them.

Boy did I love this book, I know I will be reading more by this author also! The way she crafts a story is truly a gift, and one of the things I loved most about this book was that it was 'real'. The characters are so expertly written you feel like you could go down the street and meet them for coffee!

I loved Ruben the moment I met him in this book, when he finally gets a date with Henry (whom I also love) the sparks fly, and after a wonderful weekend Ruben gets spooked about his feelings and flees.

Henry has powerful feelings for Ruben, and this seems like just another in a long line of disappointments in his life. Henry decides to write articles inspired by Ruben and their time together and he titles them Everyday History.

Henry is off the grid and no one can get in touch with him except one person (which that may not be such a good thing), Ruben is aware that he made an bad mistake, but can he find Henry to tell him that before it's too late?

Trust me friends, this book is amazing! You will love every minute of it just like I did! Thanks Alice, for ensuring this is not the last book of yours I read!

LOSING FAITH REVIEW WITH GUEST REVIEWER!!

HELLO FRIENDS, I AM HERE WITH MY GIRL MARINIEVES' REVIEW OF LOSING FAITH BY SCOTTY CADE! BELOW IS HER REVIEW ALONG WITH LINKS, SO LET'S GET STARTED!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS QUOTE AND IT IS SO PERFECT FOR THIS BOOK! HERE IS MARI'S REVIEW!

Losing Faith
by: Scotty Cade
reviewed by: Marinieves

Father Cullen Kiley, a gay Episcopal priest on hiatus from the church, decides to take his boat, T-Time, from Provincetown, Massachusetts, to Southport, North Carolina, a place that holds an abundance of bittersweet memories for him. While on a run his first day in Southport, Cullen comes upon a man sitting on a park bench staring out over the Cape Fear River with his Bible in hand. The man’s body language reeks of defeat and desperation, and unable to ignore his compassion for his fellow man, Cullen stops to offer a helping hand.

Southport Baptist Church’s Associate Pastor, Abel Weston, has a hard time managing his demons. When they get too overwhelming, he retreats to Southport’s Historic Riverwalk with his Bible in hand and stares out over the water, praying for help and guidance that never seem to come. But Abel soon discovers that help and guidance come in many forms.

An unexpected friendship develops between the two men, and as Cullen helps Abel begin to confront his doubts and fears, he comes face-to-face with his own reality, threatening both their futures.

Losing Faith by Scotty Cade is the first book I read from this author, even though I have been wanting to read his stories for a while I am glad this is the first of many I am sure.
From the preface of the book you can understand how passionate Mr. Cade is to write about what he truly believes in and called it Faith (pun intended) when he decides to explained some of the real story behind the book.
Father Cullen Kiley, a gay Episcopal priest and Baptist Church’s Associate Pastor, Abel Weston meet by chance.
Cullen and Abel start a beautiful friendship but while they become friends both Cullen and Abel have to learn to fight their inner demons. Cullen's life changes in a blink of an eye and Abel needs to move forward by accepting who he truly is.
Their respective vision of the Faith they once professed to live by and the chance of once again losing what has become safe will make them have to look back at their lives individually and collectively in order to understand that love can conquer all if you believe in the same God that once you said you could no longer recognize.

the 5 Southport Pier rating :)
