Spin Play
Southern Jersey Shores 4
by: Alexis Woods
reviewed by: Becky

Now in his midthirties, college professor Ben, is tired of playing around. He's more than ready to stop with the hide-and-seek and start with the manhunt. The fantasy of his perfect mate becomes reality when the tables are turned during an evening out to celebrate his birthday. The music is cranked up loud, and the startlingly flexible Sawyer tempts Ben with his seductive moves. Ben's willing to play Sawyer's game, taking a chance on the adventure with all its twists and turns, and hoping his decision will be the winning move that will last a lifetime.

After reading this book, I can safely say, though I love all the men in this series, Ben is my fave! I love sweet and sassy Ben who is tired of one-nighters  and failed attempts at finding the one, and wants a stable relationship, and he wants it yesterday! Well on his birthday he may find the one he can't do without in a way he never expected!

Sawyer is a wonderful guy too, and he may already know who Ben is when he sees him on his Birthday! Can these two guys throw caution to the wind and try to find love? They have the whole chemistry and attraction thing down, but do these two have what it takes to make it long term?

You will adore this book! I read it twice already, and Ben made me giggle both times! Grab Spin Play now, it is a great addition to Southern Jersey Shores! Thanks Alexis, for a book 4 that became my fave!

the 5 Happy Birthday sign rating :)

I HAD A GREAT REASON TO DO THE BIRTHDAY SIGN RATING, FOR BEN TURNED OUT TO BE A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY INDEED!

OCEAN OF SECRETS RELEASE DAY REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, BELOW IS MY RELEASE DAY REVIEW OF OCEAN OF SECRETS BY JERRY SACHER, AND BOY IS THIS BOOK AMAZING! TAKE A LOOK AT MY REVIEW AND LINKS, LET'S GET TO IT!

THIS IS THE PERFECT QUOTE FOR THIS BOOK, TRUST ME! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Ocean Of Secrets
by: Jerry Sacher
reviewed by: Becky

Andrew Elliot, the son of a Scottish nobleman, is being sent to America, accompanied by his fiancĂ©e and her brother. But Andrew’s engagement is not a love match. His family insists that he marries to “cure” him of his feelings for the son of the caretaker on his father’s estate.

Matthew Ahearn leaves Ireland to pursue his dream of becoming a Texas cowboy. In London, a brush with the law almost derails his plans, but Matthew perseveres and lands a job as a third-class steward on a ship bound for America.

Andrew’s and Matthew’s worlds collide as they—and their secrets—are brought together in the magic of an ocean voyage, one that will never be forgotten.

The year is 1912, and they are about to board RMS Titanic….

Every once in a while you read a blurb and get so excited because the plot is brilliant..such was the case with this book. Well I am happy to report that the book lived up to my expectations and then some!

Andrew is a sweet soul who feels stifled and unhappy because he is being forced into a marriage he doesn't want by his father. As if that isn't bad enough, Andrew has doubts about his fiance and her brother before they even begin their trip on the Titanic, and as time passes the doubts deepen.

Matthew is trying to better his life and boards the Titanic as a steward, but he gets much more than he bargains for when he meets the beautiful, classy man who seems to want to get to know him.

The sparks between these two are insane, and the chemistry electric, but can these two navigate a romance with so many things working against them, not the least of which is the looming disaster that no one can even fathom?

This book is amazing! There are so many surprises and oh my goodness moments that you will be riveted from cover to cover! Thanks Jerry, for making the first book I read of yours so great I know it won't be my last!

the 5 Lock & Co. brown tweed hat rating :)

I PICKED THIS QUOTE BECAUSE I THINK THAT IT SUMS UP WHAT JESSE WANTS PERFECTLY! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Throwing Stones
by: Robin Reardon
reviewed by: Becky

In this paranormal romance, something is drawing seventeen-year-old Jesse Bryce toward the community of Pagans who live in "the village," just outside his rural Oklahoma town. Maybe it's that he has a crush on Griffin Holyoke, a tall, dark-haired boy with a tree tattooed all up his back. Or maybe it's that the Pagans accept Jesse for who he is, unlike his family—or his church, where he hears that being gay is a sin.

After a man from the village is murdered while trying to prevent an assault on a girl from the town, Jesse's confusion at the town's unsympathetic reaction inspires him to set a mission for himself: to build a bridge of acceptance between the town and the village.

As Jesse defies his parents and continues to visit the village, he witnesses mysterious rituals that haunt him with their beauty and intensity. And he falls in love with one enigmatic, mercurial Pagan who opens his eyes to a whole new world.

This first-person story explores what can happen when we make conclusions about others based on too little information, or on the wrong information. Whether we're misunderstanding each other's religions or each other's sexual orientation, everyone benefits from learning the truth. And everyone benefits from forgiveness.

This book astounded me it was so wonderful, and the thing I love most about it are the lessons that are taught without being 'preachy', these lessons are taught through the insight of a very special, sometimes misunderstood boy.

Jesse is tired of not being able to be who he really is so he decides to come out to his best friend and family. It doesn't go as well as he had hoped, but it isn't as bad as it could be for sure. The process of Jesse coming out is real, real emotions, feelings and pain. You can feel Jesse's pain as if it were your own, and this of course is the mark of a great author!

Jesse starts hanging around people from the Village, who are a bit different. Things get more strained in his life, his best friend begins to pull away and his family doesn't understand and starts to forbid it. Jesse can see what others can not, just because something is different doesn't mean it is wrong or evil. Yet another lesson we learn in this book!

I can't give all the lessons away :P, but I will say that Jesse learns about himself and the people closest to him, and he learns that love doesn't mean being what someone wants you to be, if you are really loved, you are taken as you are! Thanks Robin, for a book that entertains and captivates us, but also teaches us lessons everyone should learn.

the 5 The Scorpion and the Frog fable rating :)

YES I DID THIS RATING FOR A REASON, AND IT MAY HAVE BEEN ANOTHER LESSON LEARNED :), GRAB THE BOOK BELOW AND FIND OUT!

HELLO FRIENDS, BELOW IS MY REVIEW OF I SEE YOU; COME TO YOUR SENSES 1 BY: SUSAN REEVES! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK, CHECK OUT MY REVIEW BELOW!LET'S GET TO IT!

I LOVE THIS QUOTE FOR THIS BOOK! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

I See You
Come To Your Senses 1
by: Susan Reeves
reviewed by: Becky

Christian Sartori: Surveillance officer, facial recognition guru and aspiring surfing god.

Ben McCormick: Casino games dealer, couch surfer and down on his luck.

Christian falls for Ben's Raphaelite-like beauty the very first moment he sees him, dealing at a busy pai gow table, but fraternisation between their departments is strictly forbidden. Christian instead catches glimpses through the cameras at work, hoping management won't notice he has "eyes on" Ben more than he should.
When Ben is brutally attacked as he leaves work one night, Christian is fortunately watching and comes to his aid. This starts them on a road that travels from friendship to more as they both deal with injuries, a career change, the farce that is Valentine's Day, and a mother with a crippling gambling addiction.
I See You is a story about love, compassion and helping out your fellow man, which can sometimes bring you things you never thought possible.

I love a book where the author reveals the characters layer by layer, making them so much more than one dimensional. That is exactly what you get with this book, characters that reveal layers of themselves a little at a time and I love it!

Christian does his job at the casino well, he doesn't bother anyone, and takes his work seriously. He also loves to watch a certain beautiful dealer, even if he doesn't think someone like Ben would ever look twice at him!

It is a good thing Christian is watching one night when Ben gets attacked, Christian wants to know who did it and why, and he gets more questions than answers. Ben is down on his luck and has a past full of hard times and heartbreak, will he take a chance and let Christian help him? Will he let him help to late?

You will love this book guys, and you'll get answers to all these questions and more, and you will be waiting for book 2 just like I am! Thanks Susan, for a book that keeps us on our toes and makes us fall in love with the characters!

the 5 'Man Vault' rating :P

I MADE THAT RATING PIC SPECIAL IN HONOR OF A CUTE SAYING BETWEEN CHRISTIAN AND BEN! GRAB THE BOOK BELOW AND YOU WILL SEE JUST WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!

DAMAGED GOODS RELEASE DAY REVIEW!!

HELLO FRIENDS, I AM HERE WITH MY RELEASE DAY REVIEW OF DAMAGED GOODS; MEN OF LONDON 7; BY SUSAN MAC NICOL, AND BOY DO I LOVE THIS BOOK! LOOK BELOW FOR MY REVIEW AND LINKS FOR THIS ONE! ENJOY GUYS!!

OH BOY IS THIS THE PERFECT QUOTE FOR SWEET JAX! HERE IS MY REVIEW!

Damaged Goods
Men Of London 7
by: Susan Mac Nicol
reviewed by: Becky

Touched by tragedy, love is an elusive dream never to be realised by eighteen-year-old Jax Grady--until he discovers his secret admirer and receives the sweetest gift he could ever desire.

THE SWEETEST GIFT

Tragedy and horror shaped Jackson Grady's life, leaving him orphaned and scarred. At eighteen he's ready to claim his future, but who could love his disfigured face and damaged soul? Definitely not a big, burly, beautiful Irish Traveller who is entirely the stuff of dreams.

Dare Rowan didn't mean to become obsessed with the blue-eyed man he first saw across a field, but that porcelain skin and innocent air demanded another meeting. Jax has the face of a wounded angel, and the rest of the young man is as heart-breakingly perfect. Jax is beautiful in every way and teaching him about love and life will be something Dare will embrace. Like unwrapping and savouring the candy at the shop where he works, Dare will show this young man everything Jax desired but never thought he'd have, and take Jax to new highs while he holds him through the lows. Between them, they’ll find out just how sweet life can be.

This is a beautiful story of love and looking past scars to the beauty that is underneath! Susan Mac Nicol delivers a book worthy of this series with Damaged Goods for sure!

18 year old Jax is scarred by a viscous, hateful attack years ago which caused his life to go into a tailspin of pain and loss. He has found a home at Castaways and he has his friends Tate and Clay, but Jax has resigned himself  to the fact that no one will ever want to be with him because he is broken. Jax doesn't yet know he is someone's angel!

Dare watches Jax and thinks he is beautiful, everything Dare has ever wanted. When he officially meets Jax , can Dare convince him how perfect he is? Will Jax give him a chance to prove his feelings?

Someone from the past will surface and throw Jax into a tailspin, can Dare prove to Jax that he will never leave him alone?

You have to get to know these two, you will love them as much as I do! Thanks Susan, for a wonderful book 7 I couldn't put down!

Series: The Men of Halfway House #4
Author: Jaime Reese
Genre: M/M Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 28, 2016

Cover Artist: Reese Dante

Detective Aidan Calloway is rock-solid strong. He's a man of justice—loyal to his friends, family, and job—even if it requires bending a law…or two. He shields himself behind an abrasive, fearless facade, until a phone call one night chips his armor and throws his perfectly planned, hollow life into a tailspin.

Jessie Vega is the epitome of optimism. His carefully crafted attitude of hope and positivity protects him from a past filled with too much pain. When a ghost from a dark time resurfaces and nearly breaks him, he must tap into his inner strength or risk losing everything he's worked so hard to build.

But Jessie can't do it alone. He must fight to break through Aidan's ironclad defenses to reveal the heart of the man hiding beneath the tough surface and mend his damaged spirit. Only then can they truly heal and become strong enough to battle the demons that haunt them and threaten their chance to finally be together.

Boy was I excited for this book to come out and it was so worth the wait! Below is my review for A Mended Man: Enjoy:

Boy is this the perfect quote for both these guys! Here is my review:

A Mended Man
Men Of Halfway House 4
by: Jaime Reese
reviewed by: Becky

I have loved every book in this series, A Hunted Man being my fave...until I read this one! Though I still love Cam and that book will always be special, this book is a work of art that you won't soon forget, trust me!

Aiden has shut himself away for so long to guard his heart and his secrets, but there is one man who he wishes he could be whole for. Jessie Vega pushes all his buttons, but Aiden hasn't acted on his attraction, he doesn't think he can. What will happen when someone returns from Jessie's past that isn't welcome? Will Aiden lower his defenses and finally let someone in?

I fell in love with Jessie in book 2, and I was so glad to hear he was getting his own story, and boy is it a book worthy of both of these men! Jessie is a lot tougher than he looks and refuses to be broken, but can he convince Aiden that they need each other to finally feel whole?

This book will make you cry, give you hope, and take you on an emotional journey with two beautiful but broken men, and the journey will be more than worth it, I promise! Thank you Jaime, for listening to Aiden, he sure knew what he was talking about ;)!!

the 5 glass angel rating

I just had to do this rating (sniff!) Grab the book below friends, believe me, it is beyond brilliant!!!

“This book is wonderful and beautifully worded. Jessie has a gift with words.” - Reader Review

“This story is not only an emotional roller coaster but it is full of action and mystery as well. There are several different stories all coming to a proverbial head in this book, and the outcome is excellent.” - Alpha Book Club
(This is taken from a scene between Aidan and Jessie.)

"You don't give up, do you?"

"Not when it comes to you. No."

"Jess, I'm not easy. I have more baggage than the underbelly of a cargo plane."

"Then I'll set my bags right next to yours."

He shook his head. No one had ever been this relentless to be with his miserable ass.

"I've got one last question for you," Jessie said.

Aidan turned his head slightly toward him but refused to make eye contact.

"Do you…" Jessie hesitated and rubbed his hands on his thighs again, revealing a hint of that introverted, vulnerable side others usually saw when they looked at him. "Do you want to be with me?"

Point-blank. That was the million-dollar question that determined how this conversation would end. Even if he did have enough energy to erect his shield, he couldn't lie to Jessie. He exhaled heavily. "More than anything."

"Then that settles it."

"Jess…it's not that easy."

"Don't make it harder."

Aidan sighed. "I'm not used to this," he said, gesturing between them with his hand.

"Talking or having a relationship?"

"Either. Both. Fuck if I know."

"Okay. Well, you've never had a problem talking to me before, so we'll work up to the big stuff. One detail a week. I'm not going to stress you out with a one-a-day quota. One detail we wouldn't share with anyone else."

One a week. Aidan forcefully rubbed his hands together. He could handle that. Maybe. Sorta.

"And as far as the whole relationship thing, I'm not an expert. But, we kinda already have something. Don't you think?" Jessie looked over to him with a hint of a smile playing in his expression, cocking his head.

He definitely wasn't an expert in relationships, but if Jessie thought this defined a relationship, then maybe he could totally handle this.

Jessie bumped his shoulder. "We're just missing out on all the fun stuff."

Aidan groaned. It drove him nuts when Jessie teased him.

"I'm not saying it'll be easy. I know…" Jessie hesitated and rubbed his thighs again. "I know we're both very different from each other and from what other people usually see when they look at us. But…I see you, not the guy you want everyone else to see. And you're worth it, Aidan. It bothers me that you don't recognize how amazing you are, but I'm willing to give this a shot. I just…I hope you think the same of me." He quieted for a few moments then subtly nodded, concluding some internal conversation. "You work at things so you can appreciate the success at the end."

Aidan shook his head and scoffed. Jessie and his inspirational poster lines…too fucking cute to deny. His ability to take a mountain and turn it into a few pellets of dust always amazed Aidan. Jessie was bossier than people could imagine and far more of a control freak than anyone suspected.

"Jess."

"Yeah?"

"You're totally worth it."

Jaime Reese is the alter ego of an artist who loves the creative process of writing, just not about herself. Fiction is far more interesting. She has a weakness for broken, misunderstood heroes and feels everyone deserves a chance at love and life. An avid fan of a happy ending, she believes those endings acquired with a little difficulty are more cherished.
