I TOLD YOU! BEAUTIFUL RIGHT? HERE IS AN EXCERPT OF THE BOOK TO WHET YOUR WHISTLE!

"So young and idealistic," a deep musical voice said, from one of the shadows.  "Full of hope.  Despite everything, you're still full of hope."
Dare looked up, startled.  He expected to see a servant, or maybe one of Lysander's old friends from his time as a guard in Asanthal Palace.  The black shadows surrounding him were as empty as they had been when he had sat down.  With a shake of his head and a short exploration of his ear with a fingertip, Dare settled back to reading, annoyed his concentration had been interrupted.
Someone laughed.  It rang in his ears and travelled down his spine, blooming as a warmth in his stomach.  He felt the pull of the voice, and raised his head again.  Seeing nothing but books, stacked high and wide, Dare closed the manuscript he was studying and folded his hands on his lap.  Something primal told him he should be scared, but curiosity overcame any sense of fear.
The laugh came again.  This time, it sounded impressed.
"You have fire.  I like that."
Dare lifted his chin a fraction.  "Who do I have the pleasure of speaking to?" he asked.  "Introduce yourself.  Step into the light."
"You have the look of your fathers, Dare, Prince of the Realm.  Both of them.  Curious, that you should look like them both, not just your sire.  Your mother shines from your eyes, but you, Dare?  Hmmm.  You're something else, aren’t you?"
"Step into the light," Dare repeated, sliding upwards to stand as tall as he could make himself.  "Who are you?"
"No one of importance.  Not now.  Once, maybe I was.  But no longer.  The knowledge you seek?  What would you use the power for?  Absolute power, after all, corrupts absolutely.  If anyone should know the truth of those words, it is me, Dare.  You're close to finding magicks more powerful than you can comprehend.  But, Dare, think carefully and heed the warnings you hear in the darkness behind your closed eyes.  There is no way to travel back in time and change the past."
"There is a way to change the future though, aye?"  Dare glanced around his cramped quarters, making sure Lysander was nowhere near.  Seeing he was alone, he crossed his arms and peered into the shadows.  "Who are you?  You can't be simply a disembodied voice."
"Ah, but there you are wrong, Dare.  I am most certainly a voice without a body to call my own."
"Do you have a name?"  Dare moved along the narrow pathway, his hands trailing against the books either side of his hips as he followed the direction the voice seemed to be coming from.
"A name?  Once, I had a name.  How old are you, Dare?"
"Twenty."
"That old?  So young?  Time passes so inconsistently for me, now.  Why do you seek forbidden knowledge?"
"To stop this war.  This insanity.  To go to Paragonia and quash the violence and the rebellion.  To stop them attacking humanity.  To stop humanity attacking my people."
"To seek revenge?"
Dare paused.  There was a certain part of him, desiring vengeance.  He couldn’t lie to himself, and for some unfathomable reason, he didn’t want to lie to the voice.  He continued walking through the furthest passages of the library.
"To want revenge is normal."  The voice came from close to Dare's ear, startling him anew.  It sent a frisson of something unnameable down Dare's spine, into his thighs.  "It’s part of being alive, to seek to destroy those who have hurt you.  Stolen from you.  Acting on it, though, Dare?  Many a man has met his end by believing himself a god."
"Technically, I am a god.  Born to Gaia and the One True God, Orien."
"I know who you are, Dare, Prince of the Realm.  I know your parents as well.  I know all of you.  I have been watching.  Waiting.  You had to hear me, eventually.  Need me.  I simply had to wait and bide my time."
Dare stopped dead, turning to press his back against a stack of books.  He cast a globe of magical light into the air, squinting into the shadowy spaces atop the shelves, and between the endless stacks of dusty ancient parchments.  Quite suddenly, being in the forgotten mazes miles from the brightly lit entrance, seemed foolhardy.  He lifted his scarf, turned, and walked as quickly as he dared.  Back the way he had come.  He heard the voice laughing behind him.  Mocking his cowardice as he started to jog, despite his ragged breathing.
"Very much like your fathers, aren’t you, Dare?" it called after him.  "The heart is willing to end what it knows to be wrong, but the head insists there is another path to take.  But who are you, Dare?  Will you spend an eternity at a crossroads?  Are you too scared to move in case you walk in the wrong direction?  Will you stand idly by, telling yourself you do what is right?  Let people take their own path?  Bury them as they are picked off, one by one, like so many helpless cattle?  Do you believe people deserve free will, Dare?  That they deserve to make their own choices?  That those in the far north are nothing to do with you?  The humans they kill?  Do they deserve death for the sins of their ancestors?"  The voice sighed, quieting when Dare stopped and turned to face the direction it came from.  "Do you believe the sins of the fathers should be visited on their descendants?"
"No," Dare answered, his cracked voice no more than a whisper into the darkness.  "No, I don’t believe that.  I do believe in free will.  I think.  But if they can be saved…if taking their will can lead to their salvation?  What then?"
"I think that is a dangerous question, Dare," the voice replied.  It sighed.  "I think free will cannot be stolen away, even by the gods.  To give free will, and then overrule it, would be the cruellest thing a god could do."
"But I can save them, you think?"
"You were created to rule, Dare.  A child of the gods themselves.  Born to rule, and guide your people to a new world.  One where enchantment will sit side by side with the power of Humans.  You have it in your power."
Dare backed away, feeling behind him with his hands to make sure he followed the path.
"My words scare you."
"You speak of rebellion."
"You need to ask yourself, Dare, which direction you should take.  You need to ask yourself if you're brave enough to stand up to the gods themselves.."
Dare turned a corner, still walking backwards.  He had been taught from the earliest age to never show his back to an unknown foe.  He wanted nothing more than to get back to the safety of the entryway, and to be protected by Lysander's warrior skills.
"The truth scares you," the voice laughed.  "Run, little boy.  I have the answers, when you are ready to explore them.  You know where to find me."
Dare turned and ran, laughter following his every step.

His companion was still watching him, seemingly waiting for him to make his move. Alec felt irrationally irritated. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. Even though he only did it occasionally, picking up men was easy for Alec. Buying a drink was more than he usually bothered to do for the twinks he hooked up with when he was in the mood for a warm body to fuck. Alec was well aware of his own attractiveness and used it to his advantage. A crook of a finger, a tilt of his head, or even just a look was usually enough to make them come running.
But this guy didn’t seem to know the rules of the game.
“Strong, silent type, huh?” He suddenly grinned at Alec, all neat white teeth and dimples. “You could start by telling me your name. Mine’s Ed.”
“Alec.” He handed a note to the barman as he came back with their drinks. “Keep the change.”
“Cheers, mate.” The barman winked as he pocketed the tip.
Ed’s eyebrows lifted. “Change from a twenty? You must have money to burn.”
“Something like that.” Alec let his gaze rake deliberately down Ed, examining him from the front this time. His arms were still folded over his chest and his T-shirt had ridden up enough to expose a feathered line of hair on his belly, leading down to a nice-looking package in obscenely tight skinny jeans. “I hope you bottom?”
Ed blinked and choked on his mouthful of rum and Coke. Alec suppressed the urge to grin, enjoying the fact that Ed had momentarily lost his cool.
“I’ve been known to,” Ed replied, rallying. He licked his lips.
“Good.” Alec held his gaze, noting with satisfaction that Ed’s pupils had blown wide and his lips parted as Alec looked at them. God, he had a pretty mouth. Alec lifted his glass and downed his drink. The burn of the whisky tore through him and made his nerves tingle with anticipation. He needed a good fuck; it had been too long. “Drink up, then.”
OH YES! (RUBS HANDS TOGETHER) I CAN'T WAIT TO BRING THIS ONE TO YOU GUYS ON RELEASE DAY! THANKS FOR JOINING ME FOR THIS PROMO POST! SEE YOU SOON!

Release Date: January 28, 2016

Blurb:

Flight attendant Maxwell Lewis has spent years cultivating a bon vivant image only to find he finally wants something more—and that something more includes the never-does-repeats game designer Gibson Henry.

ABOVE AND BEYOND

Maxwell Lewis is proud of the life he’s made. Having turned tragedy into triumph, he’s now a beloved member of a Target Airlines cabin crew with more than his fair share of attention both in the air and on the ground. But lately he’s wanted something more than the occasional hook-up or sometime sex buddy—particularly after meeting game designer and passenger Gibson Henry.

Talented and driven, Gibson has built a company ready to be the next big thing in gaming. Devoted to his work, he takes onetime pleasures where he finds them and never does repeats…which is what he tells handsome, sexy Maxwell Lewis after a little mile-high flight attendance. But a chance encounter in a London club is about to change things forever. Two men, one who’s flown solo and another who’s only ever played alone, are about to find that at some point all games come to end, it’s time to bare your heart and try for love.

HERE IS MY REVIEW OF THIS ONE, YOU WILL FLIP OVER THIS BOOK LIKE I DID!

BOY IS THIS QUOTE TRUE, NOW FOR WHAT I THINK ABOUT THIS BOOK! :D

With every Men of London book that comes out I throw my hands up and say "OMG Susan has outdone herself, this is the best of the series!" Well, yeah this time was no different, this book is countless shades of amazing!

Maxwell loves his job as a flight attendant and the meaningless hookups in airports, hotels, and of course punching his mile high club card now and then! Lately it seems that all that is less important and he is restless, and he thinks he just may want someone in his life on a permanent basis, preferably someone who is good with house plants :P!

When he meets Gibson on a flight and then sees him again on a longer one, he just may have found someone who fits the bill, but uh-oh, Gibson doesn't do repeats, and he doesn't mince words when saying so! Maxwell should just forget about him right? Yeah, easier said than done!

When a chance meeting give Gibson cause to look at Maxwell in a different light things change, but given Maxwell's past and Gibson's shaky view of relationships, can they make it work? Or will shadows from the past consume Maxwell and make him pull away?

Man you guys gotta read this book! It is amazing, I am so glad Maxwell got his own book! Thanks Susan, for topping the other amazing books in this series with this one!!

the 5 Nigella Lawson rating :P

I JUST HAD TO DO THAT RATING IN HONOR OF HOW MUCH MAXWELL LOVES HER, AND HOW MUCH I TEND TO AGREE! BELOW IS A TEASER, LINKS, AND MUCH MUCH MORE, ENJOY GUYS (AND LOOK AT THAT TRAILER)

“You got some time off from flying then?” Gibson cocked his head with a knowing grin, probably having seen the direction of Maxwell’s eyes.

“I have a whole three days off before my next shift. I heard about this place opening, decided to check it out. It’s pretty cool.”

“Yeah, lots of new talent.” Gibson gave a noisy slurp of his drink then peered at Maxwell over his glasses. Maxwell’s stomach clenched in appreciation.

“I don’t normally do this, but do you fancy a repeat? There’s a bathroom on the left we can slip into.”

Maxwell drew in a deep breath. He was so going to regret this, he knew it. He had to take a stand somewhere though in his search for everlasting love.

“Thanks but no. You’re not the kind of guy to get involved, or so you said when you blew me off last time, so it wouldn’t solve any purpose except for a quick bit of pleasure. I wasn’t really in the mood for this tonight but I promised a friend.” He drank up what was left of his cocktail and put the empty glass on the bar.

Gibson looked shame faced. “Yeah, about that. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have been such a git. I wanted to apologise to you on the plane afterwards but then things ran away with me and I got distracted.”

Maxwell was heartened by the apology. That took balls. “No problem. I understand. I’m at a bit of different path in my life. I’m tired of the fuck’em and suck ‘em. I want someone to come home to. Maybe it’s a stupid pipe dream but I have to start trying to find someone somewhere, right?”

He smiled at Gibson who stared back at him with a strange expression.

I bet he isn’t used to being turned down. Maybe I’m being an idiot.

Maxwell wondered if his new-found principles were worth it. He might have to reconsider.

Someone shoved against Gibson, causing his drink to go flying all over the back of another man standing at the bar. A very big man in a shiny dress suit, flashy jewellery and what looked like a permanent scowl etched on his wide face. He turned around and grabbed Gibson’s wrist, causing him to cry out softly in pain.

“What the fuck? You’ve messed up my suit,” Shiny Suit growled.

Gibson tried to wrench his wrist free. “Hey, you ape, let go of me. I’m sorry, it was an accident. Someone knocked me.”

“Yeah? Fucking twinks. You think all you have to do is bat your girly eyelashes and a man will forgive you anything. I ought to-”

“Let him the fuck go,” Maxwell said evenly. His blood was heating up like lava in Pompeii at seeing Gibson being manhandled. His temper was slow to burn but when it did – oh boy. Maxwell was quick to go from slow denotation to supernova I’m going to fuck you up so badly status. He controlled it – mostly. When he’d been on the streets, it had taken all his self-control not to become an animal like some of his friends had. And sometimes an animal had been what you needed to be to get by.

“What did you say to me?” Shiny Suit’s lips twisted. “Punk, you think you can take me on?” He let go of Gibson’s wrist, who stood rubbing it with a worried expression.

“Max, leave him. He’s not worth it. He’s a douche bag in a suit. Let’s get out of here-” Gibson’s voice was cut off as the other man reached out and slapped him on the cheek, the flat sound echoing in Maxwell’s ears like the knell of doom. Behind the bar, Dan motioned to the bouncers across the room to come over.

The rushing blood in Maxwell’s ears grew to rock concert crescendo and he moved forward in front of Shiny Suit, standing between him and Gibson. At the sight of a red handprint on Gibson’s fair skin, and the look of shock on his face, Maxwell now wanted to hit someone. He took a deep, centred breath to calm himself down. The last thing he wanted to do was scare Gibson away.

“I might look all soft and cuddly,” Maxwell murmured, “but beneath this gorgeous and drool worthy exterior lies the heart and soul of a primal beast.”

Shiny Suit’s eyes widened in confusion and Maxwell thanked the Gods he seemed to have a dumb one here. Brawn and no brains were always so much easier to bring down. Years of fighting his own battles against bullies at school, hanging out with street gangs and learning to fight dirty had often proven his salvation at times like these.

And there was one way he’d found to distract a bully and calm himself down that was almost fool proof.

BLURB:

Nightclub owner Marcus Feldman never met a man he didn’t love, at least for the night. Although his best friends have all found love, Marcus shuns their advice to commit to one man and settle down. His past has taught him monogamy and marriage is for fools, and Marcus is anything but a fool.

Tyler Reiss’s dream of dancing professionally is unexpectedly cut short and replaced by a different kind of love. He trades in his ballet slippers for go go boots, and spends his nights dancing at the hottest gay club in the city. Flirting with the customers for tips is easy, but resisting the dark and sexy Marcus is becoming harder to do with each passing day.

Unforeseen circumstances bring Marcus and Tyler closer and though they give in to their mutual passion, both still struggle to guard their hearts. When crises threaten, Tyler and Marcus find their strength in each other rather than falling apart. Tyler must choose to either run, or stay and fight for the life he wants, while Marcus realizes that love doesn’t mean losing himself and opens his heart, making him a better man in the end.

HERE IS CLAUDIA'S REVIEW :)

I LOVE THIS QUOTE CLAUDIA CHOSE, HERE IS HER REVIEW:

I think Marcus' book was the most expected in the Breakfast club series!

Their playboy, closed off, unfeeling friend would finally find his match!  Finally we got to see what lay behind the facade Marcus shows to the world.

Marcus is struggling to fulfill the bet he lost to his friend Zach… He, the utmost partying guy was having to stay 3 months without sex, and he was getting crazy! Hehehe

No surprise then, that he would feel attracted to Tyler – his new club’s more than hot dancer!  Sparks fly when these two are together… Hot, sexy sparks from Marcus and Disdainful and mad sparks from Tyler…

Tyler is more than tired of dealing with Marcus kind of people… the all-powerful club owner couldn’t fool him... Marcus wanted only a one night stand with him.  He didn’t believe for a second, that Marcus offers of help and all the attention would come without a price.  After giving up his dream profession and became a dancer, Tyler was skeptical to accept Marcus offer of help in his worst / most vulnerable moment... but he had more than himself to think about and couldn’t ever imagine how this decision would turn his life upside down.

I loved to see Marcus reluctantly giving up his tough facade to become the person he was inside… the caring, attentive, sweet person his friends knew him to be.  And Oh how hard Tyler made him work until they get on with their relationship.

I knew I would be thrilled with this book! Marcus found his perfect match in Tyler… and when you add some amazing second characters, you have this great book!

Don’t miss it!

the 5 costume for Lilliebug rating! :P

THIS RATING IS GREAT! I JUST HAVE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS BOOK DON'T YOU? WELL HERE ARE THE LINKS, SO YOU CAN GRAB IT UP TODAY!

“Marcus?”

His eyelids fluttered open to the sight of a hospital room instead of his bedroom. His neck hurt and his legs were contorted in a pretzel-like position. He untangled himself from the chair he’d fallen asleep in after they moved Tyler to a room last night around three a.m., and walked over to the hospital bed where Tyler lay wide-awake.

Tyler stared up at him, confusion apparent in his furrowed brow, but Marcus noticed his bright, pain-free eyes.

“Hey, how’re you feeling?”

“Like someone punched my guts in.” He licked his lips. “Is there any water? I’m really thirsty.”

Marcus took the plastic cup from the swing table next to the bed and poured Tyler a small glass. “Let me raise the bed for you so you don’t spill it.” Tyler nodded and Marcus pressed the button and watched the head of the bed raise up a few inches before stopping. “Here. Drink it slow.”

Tyler gave him a searching look but said nothing and drank his water. His head fell back on the pillow, and he closed his eyes.

“What are you doing here?”

“That’s not very nice. How about: ‘Thanks Marcus for staying the night. I appreciate it.’”

He grinned at Tyler who rolled his eyes. “Thanks Marcus for staying the night. I appreciate it.” He sighed. “But why are you here? And what time is it anyway?”

Marcus consulted his watch. “It’s seven a.m. The doctor said last night when they brought you into the room here that if you didn’t show any signs of a concussion, they’d spring you out sometime this morning.”

“Okay. But that doesn’t answer my question about what you’re doing here.”

“I stayed to make sure you were okay, plus I’m taking you home when you’re discharged.”

“I can call a cab.” Tyler winced as he sat up. “I’m fine, and it doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as it did yesterday.” His fingers touched his side. “They have me taped up pretty well.”

“Let me see.” Before Tyler responded, Marcus placed his hand over Tyler’s rib cage and felt the bulky bandage through the thin fabric of the hospital gown. He slid his hand around Tyler’s waist.

“Marcus, stop,” Tyler warned.

“Stop what?” He might be far from innocent, but he could play the part.

“Oh, am I interrupting?” A nurse walked in with a tray and a thermometer. “I’m sorry, but I have to give him his meds and take his BP and temperature.”

“I hope you’re taking it rectally. I was always told it gave the most accurate reading. Is that true?” He stepped away from the bed and winked at the nurse, who broke out in laughter.

“Marcus, shut up,” said Tyler, not even trying to hide the exasperation in his voice.

“Oh Marcus, you’re silly.” She bit her lips to stop her amusement. “Don’t worry, Mr. Reiss. Your boyfriend is right, but we take it by the eardrum method. It’s very accurate as well.” She busied herself, unaware of Tyler’s glare. “Just relax now.”

After finishing, she pulled away the blood pressure machine and smiled. “Very good. All your vitals are excellent. How’s your head?”

“Hard as a rock,” Marcus spoke before Tyler could answer.

“Oh, you’re a kidder.” She patted him on his arm. “I think it’s sweet the way you stayed here all night to make sure everything was okay. And now you get to take him home and baby him.”

Watching Tyler grow angrier by the minute was a better show than anything he’d ever watched on television. “I’m looking forward to it. I may have to borrow a nurse outfit.”

The nurse’s laughter followed her out the door, but Tyler was having none of it. Seeing the hostility in his blue-gray eyes, Marcus girded himself.

“What the hell are you talking about? I’m not going home with you.”

Although she practices law, she daydreams of a time when she can sit by a beach and write beautiful stories of men falling in love.
