HEY GUYS, MY GIRL MARINIEVES IS HERE WITH HER REVIEW OF NOT ONE, BUT TWO Z.A. MAXFIELD BOOKS! BELOW ARE HER REVIEWS OF CROSSING BORDERS, AND THE CROSSING BORDERS CHRISTMAS STORY, WHAT CHILD IS THIS! LET'S GET STARTED:

CROSSING BORDERS REVIEW:

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL QUOTE! HERE IS MARI'S REVIEW:

                                Crossing Borders by: Z.A. Maxfield
                                                      reviewed by: Marinieves

Two dudes walk into a bookstore…
Tristan knows he’s got issues. His latest ex-girlfriend knows it too. He can’t blame her for dumping him—even though she gets her brother to do it for her. Since he can’t stop staring at said brother’s package, he figures it’s about time to put a label on those issues. He likes guys.
He heads to a local bookstore with what he’s sure is a foolproof plan to find someone to show him what he’s been missing. But who should crash his little adventure? Officer Michael Truax, who gave him a really expensive ticket back in high school for skateboarding without a helmet.
Michael has been trying to catch Tristan for years...to give him a second ticket. Suddenly faced with “Sparky”, all grown up and looking to get laid, Michael’s protective instinct kicks in—and presents him with an opportunity that’s hard to resist. After all, the kid must know what he’s getting into, so why not?
But when a man with a plan connects with a man with a hunger, the result is nothing short of explosive.

I have been wanting to read this book for a long time.... when I finally found the perfect time to start I just couldn't stop.

Since the Foreword.... author Zam Maxfield enthralls you with her words ... with the curiosity of what you are going to find in each page of the book...

Saying that,  I truly believe that I shouldn't have waited until now to read this book.

I was, better said, I am, in love with Tristan and Michael's story. The way the story flows through each page is fascinating to me.

Since they first looked at each other, face to face, I must say (second time around) you could say that they were meant to be ... because Michael's heart was in it since the beginning.

Tristan thought he would find someone random to open his eyes ... but what he found was simply put ...  a great love....

Tristan and Michael needed to be together, to grow together and separately  ... because regardless of whether or not they understood since the beginning  ... making sacrifices ... making your partner laugh and smile ... making the love of your life happy ... starts with accepting the differences  ... and accepting the offer of  a kiss.

This is a beautiful story ... of loving deeply and giving your heart to the one who sees you for you...

Brava Zam!

the 5 heart lock tattoo rating :)

GREAT JOB MARI! HERE ARE THE BUY LINKS FOR THIS BOOK, GRAB IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT!

BE SURE YOU GET THIS BOOK GUYS! HERE IS MARI'S REVIEW OF WHAT CHILD IS THIS, A CROSSING BORDERS CHRISTMAS STORY:

What Child Is This (A Crossing Borders Christmas Story)
by: Z.A. Maxfield       reviewed by: Marinieves

Michael and Tristan are finally taking that much needed weekend away for Christmas. They’ve been working so hard at their respective careers there hasn’t been time for a breather, much less a chance to reconnect and see if they’ve been working toward what they both want.

Like always, Michael’s well-laid plan is derailed by a phone call from Apple House. Three of their charges have gone missing and while Michael is worried, it’s not unusual for the young adults who stay at the shelter for homeless LGBT teens to come and go.

But when one of them calls Michael and asks if – hypothetically speaking – it’s considered kidnapping to keep a baby who’s been abandoned, Michael and Tristan head home with all speed to sort things out.

This novella is a beautiful way to get into the Season of Miracles.

Michael has a plan ... to spend time alone with Tristan during the Christmas Holidays but doesn't really see what really matters to his Sparky.... they have been busy with work and school.

When Michael and Tristan finally get away ... they are interrupted by Michael's work ... but that is the most important part  ... the kids at Apple House are Tristan’s kids too.

Jack and Prim are two of the boys that live at Apple House ... along with Kate ... they find themselves making a decision that could be not a good idea regardless of being a noble one...

The Christmas season and new view of love can change the heart of someone that has suffered.  Jack and Prim find that sometimes friends can see deep into your heart.

THE FLORIST PROMO POST!

HEY FRIENDS! I AM HERE WITH A PROMO POST FOR 'THE FLORIST' A WORKPLACE ENCOUNTERS STORY BY SERENA YATES, AND I CAN'T WAIT TO TELL YOU ABOUT THIS BOOK! BELOW IS THE AWESOME COVER, THE BLURB, AN EXCERPT, AND THE PRE-ORDER LINK, SO LET'S GET TO IT!

THE COVER:

I LOVE ALL THE WORKPLACE ENCOUNTERS COVERS, AND THIS ONE IS NO DIFFERENT! HERE IS A LOOK AT THE BLURB:

2nd Edition
A Workplace Encounters Book
When freelance florist Dylan White gets a call that a good friend has died and left him a flower shop, Dylan isn’t sure he wants the commitment. Still, he travels to Florida to speak with the law firm, where he meets defense attorney Sean Mellick in the corridor. Sean makes a point of “running into” Dylan again, and Dylan eventually agrees to a date.
While romance blooms between the two men, their careers aren’t going as smoothly. Dylan faces employee resistance and sabotage, and then inexplicable expenses leave him on the verge of bankruptcy. An offer to sell that sounds too good to be true makes him suspicious, and he asks Sean for help. Though they’ve had very little time together, Dylan and Sean need each other to work through the issues and plant the seeds for the future they both want.
SOUNDS GREAT RIGHT? WELL BELIEVE ME, IT IS! HERE IS AN EXCERPT TO GET YOU EVEN MORE EXCITED:
Dylan took a deep breath of the fresh mountain air and turned around to face the other people in camp. Some of them were quite nice, but this was a beginner’s trip, so most of them weren’t as adventurous as he’d hoped. Only one more day, then he’d have to return to reality. The busy-looking camp was a welcome distraction from that discouraging thought.

“Can I speak to you for a moment?” Peter, the trip leader, held the satellite phone in a white-knuckled grip as he waved Dylan aside.

“Sure.” Dylan followed him to a small copse of trees at the end of the beach where the rocks rose up out of the ground, framing the river like guards.

“We’ve had a call while you were exploring.” Peter took a deep breath. “Unfortunately, you’ve had some bad news.”

Dylan felt the blood drain from his face. Oh shit. What if it was his parents? He dropped back and let the still warm rock face at his back support him while he tried to breathe.

“Dylan?” Peter held out a steadying hand. “Are you okay?”

He shook his head at the inane question. “Do I look okay?”

“No, sorry. Just don’t panic, please.” Peter didn’t look so great either, despite his deep tan. “It’s not your family.”

“That’s a relief.” More than he wanted to admit. “But what else could possibly be serious enough for someone to track me here?”

“I have instructions for you to call a Mr. Graham Havens in Jacksonville, Florida. He said he’d explain it all.” Peter held out the satellite phone and pulled a piece of paper from his pants pocket. “Here’s the number.”

“Jacksonville?” Dylan took the phone and paper with shaking fingers. The only person he knew there was Mike Benton, his best friend from his year in floral art school. Mike had lost his parents when he was ten and had been raised by his grandparents. Dylan and Mike had become inseparable and even worked in the same place for a while, shared an apartment. But then Mike’s grandparents died within months of each other, and Mike had moved to Florida to open his own shop with the money they had left him. He’d repeatedly asked Dylan to come work with him, but Dylan had shied away from the responsibility of running his own business.

“Please, just call the number I gave you.” Peter turned around and ran, as if bad news were a contagious disease.

Dylan shook his head, wishing he didn’t have to do this, and dialed.

“Havens, Kettler, and Patel. How may I help you?” The female voice sounded brisk and businesslike.

“Could I speak to a Mr. Graham Havens, please?” What the hell was going on?

“Who may I say is calling?”

“My name is Dylan White, and I was told to speak to Mr. Havens as soon as possible.” Sooner if at all manageable; the suspense was killing him.

“Certainly, Mr. White, I’ll check if Mr. Havens is available. Please hold.” The soft click followed by an annoyingly cheerful tune was the only sign he was still connected.

After a wait that seemed much longer than it probably took in reality, another soft click followed.

“I’ll put you through now.” She was gone before he could thank her.

“Graham Havens.” The voice was deep and sounded serious. “Am I speaking to Mr. White?”

“Yes, you are.” Dylan cleared his throat. “Can you please tell me what’s going on? I’m in the middle of a vacation here, and to get a mysterious message like this isn’t exactly helping me relax.”

“I’m sorry to be interrupting your vacation, but I felt this news couldn’t wait. It has already taken us a couple of days to locate you, but things are always more difficult over the weekend.” Mr. Havens rustled with some papers. “It’s imperative that you come to Jacksonville, Florida as soon as possible.”

“Hold on for a moment.” Was this guy for real? “Before I go anywhere, I’d like to know who you are, what this news is that you keep talking about, and why it would require I come to Jacksonville all of a sudden.”

“They didn’t tell you?” Mr. Havens sounded shocked.

“No, they didn’t.” Dylan rubbed his temple with his free hand, wondering who these mysterious they were supposed to be. He hated tension headaches, and this was going to be a doozy if the mysterious comments didn’t stop soon.

“Again, I am sorry.” Mr. Havens paused as if considering how to begin. “This may be a bit of a shock to you, so I hope you’re sitting down?”

Dylan glanced around and discovered a couple of boulders next to the riverside. Good enough. “I am now.”

I HAVE READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS AND WILL BRING YOU MY REVIEWS ON THEIR RELEASE DAYS, AND LET ME TELL YOU GUYS, YOU WILL FREAK OUT OVER THESE BOOKS! I WILL HAVE INFO ON THOSE BOOKS IN A BIT, BUT FIRST HERE IS MY INTERVIEW WITH POPPY, WHO IS THE MARKETING DIRECTOR AT DREAMSPINNER PRESS, YOU ARE GONNA LOVE IT!

Bec- Thanks for joining us today Poppy, I can't wait to bend your ear about this great new line of books, so let's get to it shall we?

1. What made you come up with the Dreamspun Desires line?

Harlequin romances were the first romances I read--and I couldn't get enough. I wanted similar stories in the gay romance genre. At the Romantic Times Convention in May 2015, I had a chance to talk to some of Dreamspinner's authors about category romance and so many of them had the same experiences as me: these were their first romances as well. I sweet talked those authors into writing me one, and by the end of that day at the event, I had eighteen authors ready and willing to write their own gay category style romance! Then I had to go to Elizabeth North, the Executive Director of Dreamspinner Press and say "Um, see, there's this thing I did..." Elizabeth loved the idea too, and we decided to honor our romance roots by making the line as close to the category style as we could.

Bec- Well, it is a great idea, and Harlequin Romances were a must for me as a teenager, I think every avid reader has read at least a couple! This is so exciting, and I can't wait to read every single one!

2. How did you pick the authors?

Technically, I didn't pick the authors for Dreamspun--I picked lunch dates! LOL. But honestly, everyone I had lunch with that day at RT wanted to write their own story and by the end of the day word had spread. Everyone was so enthusiastic. After the event, we let all of Dreamspinner's authors know about the new line, and anyone who was interested was invited to submit. The response has been amazing and I can't wait for you all to see some of the titles we have lined up!

Bec- I am so glad it panned out, because it is such a great idea, and the list of authors so far is A-MAZING! This is gonna be one great line of books!

3. I love the covers, which for me are a take on the Harlequin Romances I devoured as a teen. Who came up with the concept, and who designed the covers?

Thank you so much! The cover art was one of the most important parts of the line design. We knew we wanted these to have the look and feel of category romances so we enlisted Paul Richmond to design them for us. Elizabeth and I threw a ton of ideas at him and Paul created the perfect cover for us! I love them so much!

Bec- He did a fantastic job, I first heard about the series from Shira Anthony and that is the first thing I thought when I saw the cover of hers, OMG it's like Gay Harlequin (crossed that off the "I wish" list :P)!!

4. Will this be a yearly series or a one time thing? I love the concept! So fresh and new!

This is going to be a new line for Dreamspinner press, so it'll be around for a long time! We already have submissions into 2017, so Dreamspun Desires is here to stay!

Bec- Well that is amazing news! I can't wait to devour each and every one of them!

5. How many books will be in this series?

We don't have an end date in mind for Dreamspun Desires, but I can tell you that there will be two titles released per month as part of the line. Just like other category romance lines, these will be numbered editions to readers can collect an entire set!

Bec- More great news! I am so excited about Dreamspun Desires, and I know everyone else will be when they hear about it! What a great idea Poppy! Thanks for talking to us today, it was so much fun, stop by anytime!

TOLD YOU GUYS IT WAS A GREAT INTERVIEW! THANKS POPPY FOR LETTING US KNOW ABOUT THIS EXCITING NEW LINE OF BOOKS! NEXT I HAVE THE INFO ON THE FIRST TWO BOOKS:
